I purchased an old table that has two removable leaves. I do not usually use the leaves so the two halves of the table just push together to be a smaller round table. However, when pushed together, the two halves did not sit even so there was a noticeable ridge. I purchased these hoping it would help lock it evenly into place. I screwed half of the locking mechanism on either side of each half of the table and then repeated for the other side. It worked perfectly! I love that I can just unlatch these when I want to extend the table by adding the leaves. These box locks are metal and seem to be very sturdy. The color is a good antiqued dull gold (in a good way) though I didn’t really care about the color since it is up under my table. Highly recommend!
