While description says metal, that would be dangerous. These are high impact plastic or tuff stuff recycled. I have two Toro electric leaf blowers and use the old one to schred leaves. Usually have to replace the impeller once or twice a season and these work very well. Buy several, since it can take a few days to get new ones. Five minutes and you are ready to go again.
