I bought this for a Japanese Pentax 100-300mm lens I got off the interwebs for $20. It came without a cap, and I needed one that fit over the slightly bumped out glass. This fixed two issues. The metal hood is nice to help protect the lens' edge, and the cap works well with this hood (it is a cheap cap, so it fits, and locks on, but just bereley.Would recommend, it's at a decent price and works well.

Lens mounts nicely...but unfortunately produces Vignette on the sides when camera is zoomed in at Wide angle.

This is a screw-in lens hood that I use for my Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm prime. It feels solid to the touch and has done its job thus far. I don't use the lens cap that came with the hood since the hood is vented. That kind of defeats the purpose of a lens cap. I use the original lens cap that came with my Mitakon since that fits inside the hood very well.

Fits great on an old Minolta MD 50mm lens. Nice look. Protects the lens, I don’t even use a lens cap anymore. I use the lens cap that cane with this hood on another lens.
