This comes in a very nice slide string pouch for when it needs to be stored. Pre-sized, so it will fit your fie pit, as long as you order the correct size. It is a nice deep black that has a sheen to it. It is made of material something similar to that of a windbreaker light jacket. It blocks moisture from passing through it so it keeps our firepit from being a miniature pond when it rains a lot. It very durable and functions as you expected. We like to keep the firepit from getting wet, because we use all the wood ash for our chickens to dust bathe and also making organic compost and soil for all the plants. The ashes can't get wet or else the quality of the nutrients in it leach's out in the rain. This firepit top fits like a dream and everything stays dry. Plus it looks really good when you are not using the firepit. 5 stars

This cover offers good protection against rain and UV rays. The color is a deep black which looks great. The cover itself is made from durable, waterproof Oxford fabric, which has done well keeping water off the fire pit so far. The elastic around the edges is nice for keeping it in place, but it’s still prone to blowing off with even the slightest breeze, despite tightening the drawstrings as much as possible. It fits my fire pit well, and I appreciate that it covers the entire pit, keeping it dry and free from debris like leaves and bird droppings. Cleaning it is super easy. Just rinse it off or wipe it down with a damp cloth. Overall, it works for its intended purpose, but I wish it were a bit more secure in windy conditions.

Anytime you get the slightest breeze it blows off, even if you pull the draw strings as tight as possible

Rather light, but repels water and keeps sun shaded. Not had it long, so not sure of longevity yet. Time will tell in this case.
