Huge disappointment. Even if the hand turned drill spun freely enough to actually be used these bits are so dull they couldn’t cut in to a soft plastic. The holder is ok but doesn’t get as tight as it should since the buffers are a hard plastic that will brake softer or more delicate materials.

Despite being extra careful several small bits broke almost instantly. I think you’ll need the hands of a watchmaker or diamond cutter to avoid breaking bits.

FYI to anyone choosing this product. The steel twist drills are NOT in the sizes that are shown in the images. There were no 3.0mm size in my kit, and no 0.5mm. Among the others, there were multiples of several sizes, and none of the incremental sizes such as 1.7mm, or 2.2mm, etc. Also, the quality of the twist drills is marginal at best, including lopsided sharpening, inappropriate angles on the cutting edges, etc.The carbide PCB drill set is fine, the small pin-vise acceptable, and the drilling vice also acceptable for the price. Just don't buy this kit hoping to see the wide range of steel twist drill sizes that are advertised.

Bought for drilling Freshwater pearls. Too hard to try and manage. Needles break too easily for freshwater pearls, and only holds larger objects of pearls etc of at least 14mm or larger. Can only lock in smaller pearls by placeing directly in bottom of press and snugglying it very tightly to keep from moving while drilling sometimes cracking the pearls.Personally for my needs I say I wasted my money.

The smallest bit that is in the little box to hold them has broke on the first time using it. Would it be possible to get a replacement bit for it? I wish it was more sturdy.
