I have a brand new 2025 GE Cafe Induction stovetop and purchased this item to work with my older non-induction pots. The stovetop will turn off when it does not detect a proper piece of conduction cookware. The stove is amazing. This product, however, is not. The stove will detect the plate for a few minutes and then turn off. While it stays on for those few minutes, the water I was trying to boil did not get very hot. Spent 60 minutes trying to boil water for mac and cheese and had to give up. Sent in for a return.Does not work.

I've started using this every day for my Moka pot on a gas hob. It hold the heat so that the coffee doesn't burn, and is also good as a simmer plate for larger saucepans. The lifting tool is essential and makes it easy to move the plate around even when very hot.

I am in the process of getting an induction range to replace my traditional electric range (the oven is broken), but then I have many pots and pans that are not compatible with the induction cooktops. I’ve already got a 11 inch plate, so with this 7.9 inch plate, both the small and the large cooktops are covered.The adapter plate is made of thick and sturdy stainless steel. However, there are 3 small ridges on the plate that may be for stability purposes, but not quite good for induction tops (leave a small gap between the cooktop and the plate). So in order to have better contact with the induction cooktop, I have to flip the plate, and make sure the flat side is downward in contact with the cooktop. This works nicely since I’ve already tested it on my portable induction stove.The handle can pick up the plate easily but always be careful when the plate is hot, so I always use the handle together with a mitten for extra protection.Overall a quite practical and functional induction adapter and quite a cost-effective solution when you have many non-induction cookwares.

I recently replaced my electric glass cooktop. We opted to switch to Induction. Because all of my cookware is stainless, I thought we'd have no issues.Sadly, my Princess House cookware is a different type of stainless that won't work with Induction. This diffuser plate allowed me to keep my Princess House cookware. I am so happy.

These do what they are intended for, the quality is decent enough. But using it for a while, to boil tea in a borosilicate container I used previously on a gas stove turned out to be very slow and disappointing. There simply isn't a lot of metal here to heat via induction, and then heat transfer to your cooking piece. No real fault of the product, it works, stays clean. But ultimately, I just bought a proper induction friendly pot.

This stainless-steel diffuser plate is pretty good quality. It is quite heavy in my hand, so it is densely made. This would allow it to have more even heat distribution across the whole surface, which is important for a diffuser plate. The one thing I would comment on is that there is an indent that sticks up on onside of the plate. I have to ensure that I position the plate so that the notched areas do not sit on top of the grill of my gas range so that the diffuser plate remains flat on the grill. Otherwise, this is a decent diffuser plate.

The 8” is different than the 6” and 11”. Not sure why the design is differentThe 8” is already warped after 2 usesI was able to boil water with aluminum pots using the 6” and 11”The 8” didn’t really work at all and, as I stated, is already warped.I’ll keep a 6 and 11 around just in caseBut I ended up buying new pots, which I had hoped to delay for a whileThey may be fine for diffusing the flame on a gas stoveBut just pass on these adapters if you switch to inductionIt’s not worth the aggravation

Durable, large enough for my canner, fast heating. Buying this for my aluminum canner save me from having to buy a new large canner to work on our induction stove. It works great. It saved us a lot of money.
