I'm in this set just for the stakes. They are sturdy steel stakes. They are well-constructed and easily to pound in as needed. The top fitting is also strong and the hook is deep; it is easy to rope off a tent or tarp with these stakes. The carry bag is a good addition, and the hammer is also a nice touch. The hammer is a bit lightweight for a hammer, but it's a good substitute for a mallet to pound tent stakes.

These tent stakes feel hood and sturdy. The end where staps/ties can be attached is metal rather than plastic, so the shouldn't break like others I have. The hammer is small, but feels sturdy enough to hammer the stakes into dry ground. These seem like they will last for a long time.

Very handy kit of 8 metal stakes, med/small hammer and a carry bag. the stakes are all steel , 8 in long, with tie down grommets, sharp point and flattened hammering end. The hammer is small/medium sized, but very well suited for the task ( no it's not a framing hammer or designed for carpentry/construction). The storage bag is relatively heavy duty 'canvas like' material with a drawstring. Overall a good value.

How much do you bring camping with you? If you are going to a campground, you can throw just about anything in the trunk. That's where these fit in. I wouldn't bring the hammer back woods camping even though it is fairly lightweight - every ounce counts.The steaks are very solid. I don't anticipate them bending. The hammer is an accessory that you may or may not use.

This is a very nice kit - the tent stakes are very sturdy, and the hammer is a nice touch, so you can store everything together in the included bag - I don't CURRENTLY do any tent camping (but you never know), but I do have a camper van - it's always good to have stakes to secure things that can and will blow away from your campsite (shower tents, camping rugs, decorations etc.) Just a good item to have on hand (would probably also work well to secure things around the outside of your house if you regularly experience high winds). Both the hammer and stakes are of good quality.

This is a great stake kit.Comes nicely packaged.The storage bag is a nice tough, takes up less space than a case & stowes away nicely.These are some seriously strong stakesFinished in a nice black, once these have your outdoor space secured, it will give way to the elements before these stakes will.The included hammer is a bit small, but will get the job done if no other options are available.These are great.100% highly recommend

It was a little difficult to tell how big and thick the stakes were in the description photos. I assumed that the hammer would be worth nearly the entire cost of the set. Upon receiving the set, I see that the stakes appear to be large spikes/nails just like the ones we buy at our local hardware store in the bulk nail section. They have the rope attaching pieces tack welded to them. I’m not sure I would call them “heavy duty forged steel tent stakes” but they would work for a camping type of tent. The hammer is much smaller than I expected, but I’m not entirely disappointed in it. It’s not particularly appropriate for driving tent stakes but I think it will be a great small household hammer for projects like picture frames, hanging artwork, putting in small finish nails and the like. All that said, these are better than the thin aluminum stakes that come with camp tents, and should work fine for most situations. It’s a nice little hammer, and all of it for $10, so I’m happy with this purchase.
