I was hesitant to buy these because of the cost. I decided to try these anyway. I was surprised to find that they held a 13' beach canopy in place under very gusty wind conditions, and are very easy to use.I'm only leaving a 4 star review because of the price point. functionally these have been a 5 star product.

Like so many others, I am using these to tether my cat around my yard. The stakes are strong, easy to install in the beds of my yard and easy to find. Great product.

I have only used these on beaches where the sand is more compacted and not very loose, so I can only speak to their performance in that ground environment, but they’ve been a beach game-changer. They work so much better than regular grooved plastic stakes, and actually stay put.I’ve long struggled with getting the auger of my sun umbrella deep enough when the sand is very firm and damp…it’s a serious workout, and takes forever. The manufacturers probably wouldn’t recommend the screws for this, and it’s try-at-your-own-risk, obviously… but I use one of the larger ones, along with a drill fitted with their special driver, to drill a hole into the sand to loose it up. Then I reverse the drill, and use another tool shaped like a small pipe enclosed on one end to remove the loosened sand from the hole. I can finally get the auger in quickly and easily! They are also excellent for holding down beach stake-able blankets, and I even use them for anchoring items like inner tubes, which might blow away in the wind when not in use (looping a bungee with carabiners on both ends around the tube, and connecting to the circle at the top of the screw). They are very sturdy, and I haven’t had one crack or break on me yet, even though I’m technically using them “beyond recommended” applications.

I keep our snowblower in a small tent all winter. I have had an extremely difficult time finding tent stakes that will work in our backyard. We have a tangle of pine tree roots that have broken several steel auger type ground anchors and bested every peg I've tried. With at least two or three other steel auger type anchors I spent an hour or more trying to get them in the ground with zero success. I broke welds and/or bent the augers. Given how many steel anchors I've gone through I was very skeptical that the Orange Screw would work, I did not think any plastic anchor could possibly work, but I gave it a try - and I have been IMPRESSED.I also purchased the tool that allows you to use a drill to drive the Orange Screw into the ground and it went in like a hot knife through butter. I was astounded how easily it went in when EVERYTHING else I tried over the last three years failed at some level. These went in so easily that I might not have needed the drill adapter. For most applications I suspect that the T-handle tube that comes with the Orange Screw would work just fine. This is one of those purchases that I wish I had made YEARS earlier. It would have saved my knuckles countless assaults, spared my back from repeated trauma, and would have spared my neighbours from their ears being scorched from the torrent of obscenities which accompanied each of my previous attempts to get ANY kind of ground anchor to hold properly in our backyard. I'd give the Orange Screw 10 stars if I could. If you have something you need anchored to the ground - pretty much anywhere, in any type of soil - get the Orange Screw and save the obscenities for the politicians on TV. Your neighbours will thank you.

We use these to stakeout llamas and goats. The plastic is very durable and the plastic tube slides through the eye so you can use it as a handle. Excellent product.

I bought this for my 70lb dog and it works well! I thought she'd pull hard and it would come out but it didn't budge. Very sturdy and easy to screw in and out.

Used these to secure the other side of my hammock where there is no tree. They are amazingly strong and easy to install. Trying to find excuse to buy another set!

Sturdy, solid like a tank , made in USA. Buy with confidence, no disappointment. A bit expensive, but money is well spent.

These orange tent screws are much larger than I thought they would be! They really helped to keep the tents in the ground! They are expensive, but worth it if you would like to keep your tents from blowing away! We were camping in a small tree space just a little bit back from the beach and ocean. A storm came through and did blow some of our tents down, but we put these tent screws in (he couldn't find where I put them when they first set them up), and the tents did not blow down again. We had two sturdy orange tent screws per tent. Worth the investment and it wasn't too hard to put them in the sandy ground and then put them back up, using the little plastic handle insert thing that comes with it. Be careful of the pointy ends, though. They are real sharp.

The Orange Screws (both sizes) secured my rip-stop waterproof tarp through strong onshore winds (45 mph gusts) and Spring rains for several full days directly on the beach. I typically used the small screws on more firmer beach soil and the large screws into the softer beach sand. The large screws were also placed on the "windy" side to secure the tarp on windier days.Note: On windy days it took a few attempts to better secure the tarp line. I learned that it's BEST to NOT start screwing the pegs onto top 3-5" inches of soft beach sand, but rather remove that soft layer until you reach more firmer (wetter) beach sand below. Then screw these pegs until the top loop is above that surface layer. Once set, the tarp wasn't going anywhere under those conditions. The lines held! :)

I purchased these for a number of uses, but mostly to see if they can hold a beach umbrella steady. They seem long enough to dig into the stand, and the screw portion of the shaft seems pretty durable, well constructed, and like it will dig in pretty easily. The size of the shaft is similar to the handle of a rubber mallet (see picture), to give some idea about the width. The eyelet is obviously big enough to handle a wide range of cordage so I'm not too worried about that. I will update when I am able to test it out at the beach. So far they have worked perfectly for holding down a backyard canopy in high winds. My only complaint (and I don't know if this was a fluke) is that the 2 pack only comes with one plastic sleeve that can be used to turn the screws.
