High value, quality & fair price

It's a nice cable and the power/data is listed on the connector which is so important for me. I have been able to validate the power output and it is capable of 240W but I don't have anything that I can test the 80gbps on but I eMarker is displaying accurately that it should be able to work at that speed.

I was looking at getting a laptop docking station and wanted a high quality USB C cable to go between the laptop and dock which offered the highest transfer speeds and wattage for charging. This one claims 80 GB transfer and 240 watts. The cable is thicker than all my other USB C cables rated at 100 watts. Shipping took a long time, about 3 weeks, and there really weren't any shipping updates to let me know if anything changed. It just magically showed up in my mail one day.Installation & PerformanceIt is a USB C cable, so installation is obviously straight forward. Testing proved to be more difficult than expected. Firstly I cannot find a 240 watt USB C charger to even test if this cable can reach that capacity. The best I could even find on the market was 100 watts, so I think the 240 watts is theoretical at best. Additionally it you look at 100 watt chargers, they all state your cable needs to be an 'e-marker' cable, meaning it has a special chip to correctly handle the amperage with various devices. I searched everything I could on this cable and there is no mention of it having an e-marker chip in it. That said, I tested various chargers I had which went up to 65 watts and did not encounter any issues. Testing the 80 Gbps is also challenging because your two devices would each need to support this high of speed. I have a Thunderbolt 4 port on my laptop which can reach 40 Gbps but most of my test drives / peripherals cannot hit even that speed. Regardless I test transferred several large multi-gigabyte files using this cable versus other good quality USB C cables and I did see a slight improvement in transfer speed. But again I feel their 80 Gbps claim is purely theoretical because I could not find anything that could really transmit at those speeds.Price vs. ValueThis cable feels thicker than a standard high quality USB C cable, was the advertised length, and makes some bold claims about its power and transfer capacity. If it can truly handle those wattages and transfer speeds, then I feel this is a good value for the price. As higher wattage chargers become available maybe this cable will prove itself and its value will increase, but at this time I don't really notice any difference.

I use a Samsung external SSDD for my video editing. I have a 4TB T7 drive that supports USB 3 speeds. In order to get the full speed out of it, I have found that I need a bulky, high performance cable, so I've been carrying a five foot high-speed USB C cable in my kit and I find it annoying that it is bigger and heavier than the GoPro Hero 12 I am taking my vides with. I found this high performance 1 foot long cable, and it is just perfect for my needs. It takes up far less space on my work surface, packs nicely and works great. It also saves time because I do not need to coil it or anything. I do not go anywhere near the 240W capacity for use as a power conduit that this cable supports as I do not use it to connect to my dock at home, but I may get an extra one to use for that as well. That said, on the road, it never leaves my SSDD starved for power, which is important since the T7 is powered over the USB and does not support an external power supply.I've uploaded a photo screen shot of my disk speed test using my MBP 14" M2 Pro, with 16GB RAM. It's not as fast as the insanely quick internal disk, but it's definitely in the band of goodness for what I do as you can see in the test table.The build of the cable looks durable with a heavy rubber skin and nicely finished strain relief on each end. The connectors are clearly labeled to show it is a high speed data and charge cable vs just one or the other.Highly recommended!

J'ai pu connecter mon Mac Mini M4 Pro à mon iMac 2017 pour l'utiliser comme écran secondaire avec Luna Display. Ça fonctionne bien au niveau du câble... quelque petites ralentissements d'affichage. Mais quant à la connexion, c'est impeccable.
