(2) Deck Spindles
8TEN Lawn Mower Spindles are essential parts of a mower's cutting deck. The average blade spindle rotates over 1.8 MILLION times in eight hours of cutting. 8TEN Lawn mower spindles help your lawn mower pulley system perform efficiently while giving your lawn mower power. The spindles and pulleys work together to rotate the blades for a smooth, even cut. If any parts of the spindle assembly are damaged, it can cause the blades to spin unevenly, or prevent them from spinning at all.
(1) Deck Belt
8TEN deck belts are used to drive power from lawn tractor engines to their transmissions. V-Belts are the most common deck belts because of their cross section shape (wider at the top than bottom). They are also used to drive deck blades. The V-Belt drives power from one side of the belt only.
(2) Idlers
8TEN idler pulleys move power by having a drive pulley attached to a motor, that will cause another pulley, the drive pulley, to spin. Idler pulleys are pulleys in a system that are not connected directly to the power source, and cannot increase speed or torque. The goal of an 8TEN idler pulley is to move power or items from one place to another

My old Bronco lawnmower had a spindle (also called a mandrel) go bad and the blade fell down an inch and started scalping my lawn.Rather than buy a replacement spindle I went with this kit.. I was NOT disappointed!In the kit you get 2 spindles that have a grease fitting which the original did not have and probably why the bearing race blew out! Exactly the same dimensions as the old. It also has 2 new pulleys for the belt side of the spindle with nuts, two new blades, and 2 new idler pulleys for the top of the deck where the belt goes towards the engine. Basically all the wear items get refreshed with this kit.Upon installation everything went back together perfectly and the new belt matched properly with the engine pulley.The mower now cuts anything, without throwing the belt - even in tall grass, and as long as the spindles get greased occasionally it should last longer than the originals which did last 8 years as it was.

Both spindle pulleys were bent out of the box. Glad I didn't need them.The blade (belt idler) pulleys were much more narrower than the original, so I had to reuse the originals because of an belt alignment issue. And the hard spacers on the pulleys were half as thick as the original. 1/2" vs 1" original. If they had been 1", it may have worked.

I like it and the items were great and I would buy again and shipped in good shape and quickly shipped these items were well made .Everything was easy to assemble and when I started to mov my lawn I go about a half of acre and the new belt broke and fell off I was extra careful installing everything and thought everything would be fine but this happened with the new belt I like to believe that it was a defective belt. It said it was a original part.

Unfortunately I had to return the one kit I had bought at my expense.. Ordered based upon model number listed, which was wrong! I then ordered based upon what my components looked like and got the right parts! Keep in mind they look similar when installed! The correct parts fit and function just fine! 4/5 because of the hassle and extra $

Great quality product. It fit my Craftsman LT1500 perfectly a d it was easy to install and replace the previous parts. I love the green blades they not only look cool but allows me to notice any type of uneven wear or imbalance of the deck.
