I was looking for a cost-effective solution for a difficult-to-screen window in my room - something to let me get a little air in while keeping biting/stinging/scuttling bugs out. I also needed the flexibility of adhesion because I don't have much "frame" space on two dimensions with this window, and this product allowed me to "bend" the screen to fit and still keep a bug-proof "seal" in the corners.Installation wasn't too difficult, though the screen is essentially sandwiched between the two parts of the hook-and-loop adhesive strip (the stuff that's basically Velcro but not name-brand Velcro), so I'm not sure how easy it will be to remove and store in cooler weather, or how long it will last; pricier products may be easier/more durable. That said, so far it's doing the job. Very tiny gnat-sized things might get in, as the openings in the mesh are about as big as the tip of a ball-point pen, but so far it's keeping the biters and stingers and scuttlers outside, and the zipper opening lets me open and close the window without removing the whole screen. Is it perfect? Maybe not, but it does what I want it to do, for a price I could afford.

Got a catio for our indoor/outdoor cat when we moved states. It had a door high enough that we could push it up against the house and let the cat in and out through the window. I looked high and low to find a window cat door but they were either MASSIVELY expensive or the opening wouldn't line up with the door to the catio.I installed this sideways to get the height I needed and it worked awesome! I wouldn't consider this a permanent screen replacement and if you have a motivated cat they may be able to pull this down and escape....but works great for my 16 year old kitty!

I was very dubious about ordering these window nets to begin with, as I have a very clumsy cat and the nets are secured with velcro. However! I've caught my cat and kitten on a few occasions hanging from the netting in attempts to attack flies or catch pigeons, and the netting has not pulled away from the window frame at all. I'd still advise not en cour aging your cats to hurl themselves at the window net as a simple precaution!Very straight forward to fit into place, and easy enough to trim down to size, as have been used for the windows in our apartment. The access zip for the window handle is much easier than older style nets that required pulling the net from the frame. They do feel quite hard-wearing, and lasted well so far, having been up in the windows for a month already.Added bonus is they do stop a lot of bugs being able to come in now that the weather is warming up.Highly recommend

We live in a 2 story house and our cats use the windows downstairs to climb out, so to make sure they couldn’t get out on the top floor and fall or climb onto the roof while we let fresh air in (and keep bugs out) I ordered a bunch of these. They each took about 10min to install and have been doing a great job. I would recommend getting a little utility knife (the snap off kind) to trim the net edges as a scissor is a bit awkward). You’ll need to press over the top velcro layer a bit to secure it but my 5.5kg cat has leaned her full body weight on it and it hasn’t budged so I’m happy and have peace of mind!

We have an old casement window that swings outward, which requires access to the handle to open and close. There aren't a whole lot of options to open the window without letting bugs in. This product solved it. Just make sure you measure twice and cut once! I made a mistake, and I reached out to the seller, and the seller was able to help me with the issue. Excellent customer service - if you're on the fence, I'd highly recommend buying from Mellroom as they stand behind their product!

It was fairly easy to assemble without the need of the instructions, though the instructions are worded a little oddly. I have a window fan outside of this screen and fruit flies are able to still be sucked in through the screen from the outside. I am glad however that some spiders aren't able to come in because of the screen and other larger flies.

This has been a game changer for me. I have a small apartment and only a few if my windows open. I have a spider living in my main window. This helps keep him outside but let’s me have fresh air coming inside. I have a portable ac unit and the hose will be able to fit into the opening of this so I’m overall very happy. Super easy to put up. Landlord won’t even know it was there when I move out.
