Previously I had a cheap no-name stool and the difference between that and this was night and day. This one is just so much more comfortable, and so much more solid feeling.

I have been playing drums since I was 12. I am 65 now and still play in a weekend warrior band. This drum throne is by far the most comfortable I have ever owned. The 4 hour gigs are much better now!! While it is pricey, my back and shoulders are a huge fan! I made the right choice in purchasing!!!

This was one of the best investments I've made for myself. I never really thought a drum stool was so important until my back disability happened. As a person with disc issues and sciatica problems, the split in the cushion provides relief on the spine allowing me to perform and stand up without horrible pain and struggle. I play a lot of fast hard rock/metal and usually practice 3 hours at a time. This stool has changed my life. I've never been a fan of the motorcycle style seats because of rubbing on the back of the thighs and feeling of leg restrictions, but I don't have those issues with this seat.I recommend this.

Very comfortable throne. I'm 165lbs and was hesitant to purchase based on the wider profile. It's not much bigger than my roc n soc but more comfortable and I feel like I sit a bit more upright. Keeps your arse feeling good for long periods.

My old throne left me with a sore back, and I always felt a bit unstable on it. I also suffered from numbness after about an hour of playing. This excellent throne fixed all of those problems. Incredibly comfortable, stable and effective. And a very solid build. Great!

I ordered the Ahead Spinal Glide Drum Throne (SPGR-Red Cloth) on Wednesday, 28 October thru GearNuts, with an expected delivery date between 2-4 November. Needless to say, I was TOTALLY AMAZED when the package arrived via FEDEX on Saturday, 31 October - less than 3 full days from the time I ordered it! The Spinal Glide throne was purchased to replace the Pearl Roadster throne I've been using for over 4 years...and while the Roadster throne is sturdy and comfortable...almost an hour of playing after adding the Spinal Glide throne to my kit...and having NO hip or lower back pain...I knew that my research and decision to purchase the Spinal Glide throne was the BEST decision!! It is without a doubt the MOST supportive and comfortable throne I have ever used! MANY Thanks to Amazon and GearNuts for sending an amazing product incredibly fast!!!!

Comfy Comfy ComfyMan pretty expensive for a no frills 4 legged throne. It's worth not having that butt pain every time you stand up though.(The vendor accidentally left their invoice in the box I received, they pay about $125 for it.)I do not gig every weekend like some musicians, this thing should last me for ever, a pro musicians, I do not know. The base is nothing fancy, it IS from China, nothing special, but it's darn heavy like yo would expect from a four-legged throne.

I have drummed for over 30 years and this throne is incredible. I really have spent a tremendous amount of time looking at all types of thrones and the new technologies. The new thrones like this one are really helping drummers enjoy getting through their sets than grinning and bearing it. I haven't had many back issues but want to keep myself in top form behind the kit. I am into my 6th week of owning this throne and it's a game changer. The base is sturdy and I really like the locking collars being in 2 spots not just on the spindle and throne. The cushion is thick and comfy for your backside. The base is pretty wide that the seat is attached to and the spindle is fairly thick which is a good factor for long term use. I found myself feeling very comfortable and not starting to feel the top of the spindle. I also noticed my legs and backside stayed fresh longer. I play a lot of genres in music and I really have been working on my double kick speed for a death metal project I am writing. I also laid down some funk grooves for a DJ friend and it was a fun time I didn't find myself standing up from being throne sore.Worth the money. Excellent quality.
