I had another jar opener just like this one for years and loved it. Have trouble with my hands, but this type opener has never let me down. I am looking forward to many good years of use with this.

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this Aieve-Can and Jar Opener Set.2. The current price of ~$13 is reasonable.LIKES:- Cuts just fine. I'm using it almost daily. Not sure why they are claiming smooth-edge cutting. It is a normal can opener that cuts the can lid and the lid is sharp. Easy peasy.- It's not rusting on me so far and I rinse it after every use.- Nice to have the other openers, but I haven't used any of them yet.DISLIKES:- Not all that sturdy, but at least it's not failing like many of the other more expensive openers I have.

My can opener failed prematurely so I needed a replacement. The can opener in this set works just fine. It has no issues with puncturing cans and does an acceptable job of cutting can tops. The handles provide a decent grip.This set also came with a jar opener which is also very useful. I have an elderly mom who has difficulty opening jars and the jar opener makes it so much easier for her.

Until you own and use this can opener, jar opener and corkscrew, I don’t think you can appreciate the incredible usefulness of these particular pieces made by Aieve. I am really particular when it comes to can openers, since half the ones I’ve tried over the years haven’t worked well at all. Not only does this one work, but it works better than the treasured can opener I have had for the past 40 years! I am now retiring the 40 year-old can opener, which still works fine, down to the pantry, where it will be useful in case we need to take shelter during a tornado.Then there’s the jar opener. I’ve tried one or two of those, also, in the past and moved on. This one, however, is kind of amazing. The whole thing is basically a hard plastic. What they don’t show on the stock photos is the ridge that rests on the jar lid, to secure it in place (see photos). It also has indentations in the handle, to get a better grip—some would say, ergonomic. All I know is that I am one of those Seniors that has fingers that get stiff and don’t work as well as they used to, especially when it comes to opening jars. I tried this on several jars, and they were a breeze to open!Lastly, there’s the corkscrew. It has more features on it than any corkscrew I have ever seen (see photo). And when you close it, it stays closed.This set of three costs less than what I would expect to pay for just one can opener. I couldn’t be happier, and I highly recommend it!

I needed a new can opener and grabbed this one on impulse. The corkscrew and jar opener were nice add ons. The can opener is a bit flimsy and it doesn't turn smoothly, but it does the job. It works as well as my Kitchen Aid can opener that lasted just over a year (before that, I had an Oxo can opener for almost ten years so you get what you pay for). I haven't tried the jar opener but it looks nice and offers multiple size options. I'll be glad to have it when that next pickle jar gives me a hard time.

Decent multi utensil kitchen set. Jar opener works very well, Had a Jar just the other day I could not get with my hands and used this can with a little elbow grease I got the lid off and didn't hurt my hands. Can opener works okay. It looks so robust but does not feel robust when using it. This will end up in my caping tote where my last one broke so I needed to replace it. The Gears are not smooth and it is loose when it grips the can. Wine opener is okay. These are sturdy and make a lovely set. I thought I broke my can opener so I got this and I am so glad to now have a back up opener. The other openers are great for cans which I appreciate.
