Seller is using in the inside diameter of the pipe for sizing the pipe hanger. Obviously the outside diameter is different. When selling products in the US market you need to size to US standards and measurements. A 3 inch pipe hanger needs to fit a 3 1/2" outside diameter pipe.

I used 15 of these to hang non-perforated 4" drain line under my deck for rainwater collection. If you look at one of the distributors photos, it shows that the threading is M8. It actually has dual threading and it accepts M8 at the bottom and M10 at the top. I used metric dowels in order to adjust my drainage pitch. It would have worked out great. 5☆ if they would have committed to just M8 or just M10; I would have preferred more of a thread "bite". As designed, you only get about 6mm when you could be getting 12mm.FYI, for my application, the 5" hanger has a "slop" in it when used with the corrugated pipe.... perhaps 4mm.

I used these in 2 1/2 diameter to fasten the two adjustable split queen bed parts in fixed positions to each other. Put one on each leg of the two beds then fasten them together us a wooden spreads at the head legs and foot legs. Bored holes through the spreaders and fastened them to the hangers using bolts and washers. Fasten the top spreader to the head board. Ever thing now stays in placed when I get in and out of bed.

The nut thread is not M8 it is M10 x 1.5. This caused me to have to purchase new materials in order to install them.Outside of that these work fine.
