The best thing that I can say about this product is that it does look very good.The instructions are good and they give tips on handling and applying the trim. The most important tip is to thoroughly clean the areas of application.The next most important tip is to lay it out flat in a warm room or in the sun to get the kinks and curves out. Otherwise it will be difficult to work with and will probably make for a poor installation.The problems for me started with the fact that this arrived in a plastic bag and not in a box. The coil of trim was able to move around in that bag. I think that this was part of the reason that much of the protective tape covering the mounting tape had come loose. If it were in a flat box this probably would not have happened.The tape being off of much of the trim resulted in both poor adheasion in the areas without protective tape and also glue/adheasive foam being transferred to the trim molding face.To be honest, I have to question if it was 3M tape at all. Adheasion was not what I'm used to with 3M mounting tapes.The end result does look good but I have to wonder how long and well it will stay on. The price is certainly good for the appearance.

This is a solid product. Make sure you read the specs exactly since this will not fit model years, outside of the ones listed.It's a bit of an investment to be sure but it's a lot more reasonable than if you were to go to a garage and ask them to replace this on your vehicle. It is a well made, hefty adhesive and material. It's easy to apply and cut to fit.It will make an awesome addition to give your old Ford a spruce up and protect the sides from nicks and dings.

It look and fits just like the OEM moulding (minus the end caps that is on the originals). To help install it straight, I recommend you use a 8 foot long straight edge, or lay out a masking tape guide, because it can turn out wavy if you don't step back and check. It sticks good and seems to be a good quality moulding, time will tell how well it holds up.It is spendy but it really sets off the look of a 92-97 OBS Ford.It looks great and I approve.

This is a very nice and well-made bit of trim that absolutely reminds me of the stuff that originally came on the truck. It’s way heavier than I anticipated, in a good way, and it fits perfectly on my 1993 F150 Flairside truck. I am trying to get it back to its old glory and this is helping immensely. I have been looking to replace the 20+ year old body molding that was on my truck for a while now. I found this kit and have installed it where the old molding had been removed. The old molding left a line that I was able to follow for this replacement. It was easy to install and the 3m adhesive is strong enough that I think it will stay on the truck for many years to come. The product also comes with a blue film to prevent oxidation or scratches during shipping so I know what I am installing is factory fresh. This product adds a nice finishing chrome touch to my trucks exterior and gives an added safety net to prevent others doors or shopping carts from leaving dents in my old ford.

Ordered/Received this Automotive Replacement Old Style Body Side Molding - (2") – OEM Grade Black/Chrome Trim Molding for my 96 Ford F-150. Have been restoring/refurbishing/repainting my old Ford truck and have worked on it for over a year, trying to get it all done and have it nice looking again.I recently painted it and been putting mirrors back on and other trim pieces. When trying to clean up my old body side trim and putting it back on bumpers and side of truck, it just looked awful as the paint job made the truck look almost new again, but this old trim is faded and just wasn't happy with it.Recently while shopping online for some new tail lights for it, I saw this new body side trim replacement, molding with the chrome strip made just to fit my model of truck. After reading that it comes in a 26ft roll, enough to do the whole truck, I ordered it. This was a very good move for me. This trim is a very good match as it looks like OEM trim. I like that it has the good quality 3M material. I already have both sides completed. Will be putting it on my front bumper soon as the 26ft length will completely replace trim on my whole truck. This really made my truck look almost like a new one. This 3M adhesive trim material sticks very good and stays in place. Since it was cold in my building (winter time), I used a heating gun to warm it up a bit and it goes on good, straight and sticks great. I like the brand new chrome strip in this material. This trim easily earns a (5) star rating in my opinion
