  • Alpha Pots are widely used guitar tone and volume controls, good to fit small cavity. Metric sized pots mostly use in import guitar or Asia made guitar
  • 6mm knurled split shaft fits a coarse-knurled (18-spline) knob. It will fit modern Squier/Epiphone/ibanez/ESP etc made in China/Korea/Japan guitar's stock knobs
  • Genuine Alpha parts, made in Korea. Metric sized, Thread M8 x 0.8, Threaded portion height 10mm (3/8"), aluminum. 24mm (15/16") diameter full sized base. Standard solid construction
  • Audio taper with standard ±20% resistance tolerance. Full size, 500K-ohm pots are standard controls for humbuckers. A250K gives a slightly warmer tone than a 500K, and bleeds off (attenuates) some of the high frequencies to ground
  • Package included: 4 pieces potentiometers, nuts and washers

I am using these to replace the cheap pots in my import guitar. They work well and are very smooth.

One of the four was DOA. completely open between outer poles. center wiper picked up 296 - 319 ohms when rotated to 'max', nothing, zero impedance when the shaft turned at all. This is becoming more common in Alpha pots. On the positive side, those which do work properly have very nice and smooth rotation, and operate volume and tone quite satisfactorily. As a drop-in replacement in an Asian instrument, Alpha is still the most cost-effective choice.

Bought these to replace the pots on my dads Washburn Jazz Box he recently acquired. The original pots were scratchy and stripped, and these were an inexpensive option for replacement. They've only been installed for about 2 months but so far they've held up well and function as they should. No complaints.

Alpha are decent pots. Installed them in at least 100 guitars, I lost track many years ago. CTS are better built, but I’ve never had a failure in the last 20 years.. I take that back. One failed. Plus these have some friction when you turn them. So they don’t move unless you mean to turn them.

Whatever your need, you can't go wrong with Alpha potentiometer's. These particular pots went into a guitar effects pedal I built on stripboard. The pots measured within 1 or 2 ohms of the stated resistance. I've bought a lot of different pots from a variety of manufacturers over the years, and I can tell you when I open up an effects pedal or a guitar and see the name Alpha, I know it's going to work the way it's supposed to. A lot of people say pots are pots. My ears would beg to differ, and given the choice, I'll buy Alpha every time.

These arrived well packed and in new condition, which is as expected but not always the case these days. The pots were smooth and measured to spec unlike the Alpha minis they replaced (which came in a bass guitar and were unusually poor quality).I installed them and they feel fantastic, and the full size means they should last -- no complaints!

Log pots, wonderful job replacing the old linear volume pots in my korean/japanese L6 clone. Everything sounds great, they spin easily, and they take the old knobs without any issues. On tone side, though, the first quarter turn does basically nothing, the next quarter is a nice range of sounds, and then the whole bottom half is kinda dead. Maybe try two of these A500 pots for volume and pick up some B500s for your tone knobs.
