Is and Does exactly what it says it will the Original is plastic and gets brittle... this is the best solution.

Its a pricey bit of kit that isn't needed. Just buy a new rubber seal. I repaired one can with this and one can with a plastic and rubber seal kit at a third of the price and they both stopped the leak.

I thought it a little pricey... but......it came well packaged and with rubber gasket. It did exactly what it said it would. Plastic ring in center of my gerry can was broken off, and this aluminum on fit into cap, holding new gasket in place and original cap retaining strap snapped right into it. No more leaks!!! Awesome product!!

As beefy as the Scepter fuel cans are there's one major flaw. And...this product fixes that. The aluminum piece should outlast me and the rest of the can. The gasket looks to be OEM from Scepter or maybe it's aftermarket. The edges are cut nice and smooth and it snaps onto the flange and should work great (I haven't installed it in the can yet).Strangest thing is the packaging. The piece of aluminum came inside of a small drawstring bag, wrapped in bubble wrap along with the gasket, inside a small cardboard box that fit everything exactly. That's some serious detail.

They cost a mint, they take forever to arrive, but when you get it, you will know you did the right thing.There is no comparison between these and the OEM, milspec flange. This is a piece of fine engineering, expertly crafted. It’s a simple thing, but you will only ever have to do this once. It will outlast the can, and that’s saying something. Every MFC I will ever own will have one of these in it.
