I installed this on my mother in law’s old TV to enable blue tooth to a wireless speaker near her recliner. It works flawlessly once I read the instructions, which were a little ambiguous for me, but I really like this transmitter.

With a 1 amp USB power adapter it would not pair to my speaker but when I switched it to a 2 amp supply it connected right away. Testing this to be sure, I tried the 1 amp supply again and it failed to connect. I went back to the 2 amp supply and again it connected right away.

Great tool to extend the length of reach, that s for Bluetooth capacity. I like aluratek for all these audio and visual elements, this is good, I can listen to music and shows from a longer distance, I believe that is the benefit and it worked. Thumbs up and more!

This was a nice unit that just didn't work with our TV. The Instructions were fine but just not a fit for us. The return process was excellent and fast. I hadn't damaged the package so it still looked like new but it was an easy return.

Overall it was pretty easy to install. It took me a about 15 minuts to get my new JBL Bluetooth headphones paired to it. Make sure your headphones support the A2DP profile, which I verified in the specs section of my JBL manual. But it stiil wouldn't connect.........until I cleared the Pairing Records. Hld the "+" button for 7 seconds till the TX & RX lights flash 2 times. Then hit the TX button twice quickly to go into pairing again. My headphones then connected immediately. My TV sounds amazing with this set up and there is imperceptable latency of voice to video sync.

Mal mal mal

I bought one of these and it worked perfectly. I bought another for a different setup and it was terrible - glitchy and useless. I returned it and had Amazon send a replacement. I set up the third unit and it would connect (supposedly) to different sources....but no sound. This time I called Aluratek's tech help, went through troubleshooting steps and he admitted it was faulty. I told him 2 out of 3 units I purchased were faulty...and he said, "It happens." Well, it certainly does. ;{ While this transmitter/receiver works well - when it works, I certainly can't recommend it to anyone. Also, this unit could use an on/off switch. There are times when you don't want it to connect and you have to pull the cable out to kill the power. We all know what happens to the inputs eventually.

We had a pricier Mii Bluetooth transmitter that worked with some of our devices and had transmitter volume control, but didn’t work with newer AirPods and took over every sync’d device even when the Mii was “turned off”. So it got returned.I read the reviews and decided to try this transmitter. We’re using it to send audio from an 8 year old high end Mitsubishi TV to several devices, kid’s headphones and both older and newer AirPods. It would sometimes take one or two tries to get the audio working after syncing, but the sound was fair and there was no noticeable lip to voice delay.First issue was after numerous attempts, it DIDN’T sync with 2 devices for more that a minute. So despite them saying it works with 2 devices at once, it doesn’t. Just one. However, as it at least worked with all the devices with no delay, it looked like it was going to be a winner.NOPE!This unit has volume control buttons on it. That must mean you can control the volume. Right? No!I called Aluratek tech support and was told the unit’s volume control ONLY works in receiver mode. Like when an iPhone (which has volume control) is being sent to a Bluetooth speaker (which ALSO has volume control). And as an iPhone has Bluetooth built in, WHY would you do that to begin with?!Tech support said the unit’s volume control DOESN’T work when a TV (volume control is turned off when a TV is using the external sound device) is using the unit in transmitter mode to send the signal to AirPods (which DON’T have volume control). That means that whatever volume the unit decides to send, that’s what you’re stuck with. Our newer AirPods volume was manageable. It could have been turned up a bit, but was usable. However, the old AirPods were much too loud to be usable. Almost painful. Why a company would put the effort into making a receiver/transmitter and NOT have volume control for only one mode is just dumb.It works, even with newer AirPods .. but with no volume control, this unit is useless.1 star review and it’s going back.Hey Aluratek. What were you thinking?!
