Had to return item due to size of receiver. I did look at this product and it is very well-made and heavy duty. Had to purchase a different brand for a 2 1/2 inch receiver overall the product looks like it’s very high-quality and fit and finish was good.

It is pricey, but works very well. I’m hoping it will last a long time, “buy it once but get a good one.”

Great hitch and cleaned up like new with some polish after using it in the winter to pull my 24’ snowmobile trailer👍🏻👍🏻 I recommend buying the matching locks that go with it.

Works well for towing our holiday trailer and our jet boat.

Nice fit and finish, a serious piece of equipment. My 2 piece hollow tube Reese is ok for utility trailers but for serious tongue weights I don't want to ever worry about the hitch holding up. Really like the range of adjustment.

This thing is awesome. I towed a loaded 10k GVWR 24' car hauler over 3000 miles from Georgia to Tennesee to California with nothing but this and a Chevy 2500. It went like a champ, never once felt like it 'wasn't strong enough' and it had/got no bend at all. Adjusts super easily if you don't have an adapter sleeve, and even with the adapter you can use every level, you just can't slide the ball down easily for the top 2-3 levels without removing the locks to slide the hitch out some. Still love it. My grandfather saw this hitch and started to tell me the story of my uncles boat bending an aluminum hitch. I had to let him know to look a little closer, this is solid aluminum, not some manufactured glued together piece of Chinese crap.If you want a hitch for light to 'medium' duty this is the one. I would note that the first time I ordered they sent me a hitch with a 1 7/8" slash 2" ball, so those are available.Update: its over a year later and I still using this bad boy. Its great and looks just like new except the ball. I have towed multiple heavy loads across the country and never had any doubt. I do kind of wish I got the greaseless ball, cause it would be prettier. The ball can rust if you don't grease (just in case you thought it was aluminum too, like I did for some reason). Either way, trailer grease is cheap and easy to put on. Or you could paint the ball if you really cared. The short: still love the hitch stays attached to my truck all the time. Still a 5 star product.

Just a quick review for those F150 users. I purchased a 2015 Supercrew F150 and wanted a nice hitch to go along with it. I utilize a well built utility trailer that requires a drop hitch - for those that like to drive with level trailers. I wasn't certain about the drop that I needed but I didn't want one with too much drop as the lower ball will stick down and my driveway will take it off if it's too low. So, I bought the 6" Rapid Drop with the Alumiballs and greaseless tops. The drop worked perfectly for my trailer on the lowest setting. I'm happy to say that it looks super sharp and have begun noticing all the other trucks with the same hitch. Although I can tell the ones with the steel balls because they discolor differently so I'm glad I got the Alumiballs. Also, after running the trailer a couple times I've seen no damage to the cap.The hitch itself is super solid with very minor movement within the receiver. The connection between the ball mount to the adjustable hitch is solid and there is no apparent movement. I purchased the Rapid Hitch 3492 Keyed Locking Pins to go along with it and I'm very happy with those as well.

After owning the other version of this hitch that doesn't have the black coating and needs grease, this is a great upgrade. I used it with a trailer hauling over 3 tons and around 350 lbs tongue weight and there isn't any degradation of the black coating that looks like plastic but it is very strong. This is a must have hitch if you haul different trailers or like to swap between vehicles when hauling because tongue trailer height is the most important adjustment you can make for proper and safe hauling. Improper height can destabilize your truck and trailer and stress your trailer tires or wear them unevenly if it has more than one axle. other benefits are lighter weight and if you flip it over you get another 6 inches of range which I use when launching a boat to increase the angle of the boat trailer to make it easier on low angle ramps. Just a recommendation...it's a higher priced item than your regular hitch so get the stainless Rapid Hitch 3492 keyed locking lock for it. It has a flat key and it is a great lock that fits even the newer vehicles with hidden pin locations on the hitch base of the vehicle or too close to the bumper for other bulkier locks. Plus it's stainless, harder to rust and one of the only locks that is long enough to for the Anderson hitch.

I am pulling a 12' 54" vnose trailer everyday, for 3 months and it is holding up well. I do have one complaint, when it gets cold (-10f) it is very hard to get the pins out because the aluminum shrinks, I have greased the hell out of the pins and it helps but doesn't cure it. You have to hammer the pin out. I gave it 5 stars because that just means it's a good fit and won't get sloppy for a while...but it's not fun in -10 to be fighting with a solid chunk of aluminum. My other complaint is I can't find a lock that will hold up to salt and the winter, the trimax lock is complete garbage in the winter. This should change because a lot of newer trucks have this bigger lock, so I expect manufactures to design something better. My other complaint is how low the ball hangs...I have to keep it on the lowest setting for my trailer and a 2500HD GMC, so then the 2" ball hangs very very close to the ground. It doesn't hit the ground as much as I thought it would, but it does become a problem. The pros are obvious so I won't mention them.*Update 2 year. I haven't had any issues with it. I was afraid of the aluminum becoming sloppy but it hasn't. I am very happy with it and being able to change height has came in handy many times especially when I load the trailer and truck down with 6,000 lbs and have to change the height! I pull my trailer almost daily.*Update 4 year. I ended up taking this off my truck and putting it on my tahoe and bought a new one for my truck since I liked it so much! After 4 years it still works great. I ended up buying the andersen lock for it and that fixed the pin problem and seems like a great lock.
