This product was super easy to install and works great for charging. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid home charger without a lot of bells and whistles. It is portable, so it can be put away, when not in use. It comes with a wall mount and cord/plug holder. Charger itself is weatherproof, but the input plug cord is very short. The control unit will need to be within 18 inches of the power outlet, which is likely not weatherproof. Mine is mounted on the wall of the garage, where the output plug can reach inside or outside.

This is very well built and easy to use. Top notch, especially for the price.The downsides:1. The body of the J1772 gun is bulky and wide. So wide that it wouldn't fit in the holster currently attached to my house. It comes with its own, but it's not as nice, so that was annoying.2. The holster it comes with (that I had to use since the gun body is too wide for mine) is poorly-designed:a. It's designed to come straight off the wall, which takes up WAY too much space. It should angle down and/or to the side. I don't know why anyone thought straight-out was a good option.b. It's not designed with any water leak paths build into the back, so if you screw it to your house, water is likely to go straight through the screw holes into your wall cavities. I strategically Dremeled my own leak channels into the back, so it's a fixable problem, but it should have been molded how I modified it in the first place.

This EVSE unit just works. Very well built with the Anker name backing it up. Timer for delayed charging built in to display. No Wi-Fi with this unit, but I find it’s a non issue. Mounting bracket & gun holder included for a neat installation. Hardware is included as well. As others have said, nothing fancy. It just works!Update 8/4/2024: The Anker EV charger continues to work flawlessly. Using the timer on my Nissan Leaf, the charger starts at midnight and then stops at 4:30am. No problems with unit! I’ve also suggested to Anker that they incorporate the Charger into their app.

I was hesitant finding a new charger after my other “cheap” charger broke and resulted in charging faults on my vehicle.After finding this charger by the company Anker who is known for quality charging products and batteries I got excited to try it out because I needed something “name brand” that can be trusted without spending a lot more.This product for some reason is not listed on their website as of this review, not sure why or how soon this was released for that reason but again I was beginning to get anxiety of another charger that wont be up to par.After receiving, I can tell immediately it has the same Anker quality of other products of theirs I own. This charger works flawlessly so far with my vehicle, it stops supplying charge/power once the battery is full which is excellent. I like the timer on the screen that shows also how long it was last plugged in.Also not sure why it is not advertised by Anker, but the charger is UL certified, after finding the list in the manual it helped solidify my choice. This should be listed on the product page as I know many people out there look for those certifications when choosing a quality charger with a hefty warranty as well.I hope this review helps others making a decision and helps some save money rather than purchase a more expensive charger because it has the UL standards listed.
