I used to use the evans emad, about 10 years ago. One day, the guy at my local music store recommended these to me, assuring me that I'd like it better than the Evans. I took his advice and wasn't disappointed. I've used these heads on my kick drum ever since. They last long (I've never broken one) and sound amazing. I hit my kick drums extremely hard, so durability is a must.

I only use Aquarian heads for the simple reasons that they are better made, sound better and are cheaper than the others.The coating on Aquarian lasts months...my last Remo lasted about 4 hours and was more expensive.These kick drum heads have a great sound and are easy to tune.

Aquarian drumheads are some of the best I've ever heard. They're so easy to tune and hold their tune. They're great quality and last a good long time! The same goes for this head. It has given me the perfect muffled punch without ruining the slight overtones that keep it sounding organic and acoustic. It's versatile and excels at most any tuning situation. Can't go wrong with this thing! Well worth $40!

I like how the sound deadener is built into the drumhead. Good sounding head without all of the overtones. With a beater pad these heads last a long time. I bought here on Amazon and saved almost 15 dollars off what my local music store was charging for the same head.
