Your cart is empty.Our large and striking Magenta Mystery Snail has dual benefits — it adds a burst of color to your aquarium and acts as a natural fish tank clearer! This colorful snail reduces the need for a UV sterilizer because it consumes uneaten fish food, plus it wipes off aquarium glass, plants, and decorations. It also filters substrate to keep it the correct color. This peaceful snail grows up to 3 inches in diameter and is safe with any nonaggressive aquarium fish, live shrimp, or aquarium plants (including java fern, liverwort, etc). Magenta Mystery Snail shells feature stunning coloration. The body is cream colored with iridescent pink and yellow markings, combining with the shell to result in a remarkable hot pink coloration overall. Compared to other freshwater snails, Mystery Snails are characteristically more active and can often be found scaling aquarium walls, extending their antennae in search of food, and climbing up the aquarium pump to the water line to breathe. Because of this, ensure the water line in your aquarium is low enough or keep a tank lid in place so your snail can’t escape. We often ship smaller sized (.5 to 1.5 inches) snails so you can enjoy them longer and watch them grow. A young Mystery Snail can double in size over the course of two weeks to months. NOTE: Contrary to what some websites state, Mystery Snails are NOT the same species as Apple Snails, which are an illegal species to own in the USA. Our Mystery Snails do not grow to the tremendous size that Apple Snails do (often as big as an apple).

Bought 3 magenta snails. Ended up with these. Last i checked those are brown. But i got 1 extra. Shells look damaged and scratched on a couple of these.

Little guy arrived safely. He only had a wet paper towel with a smidge of water in the bag, which concerned me, but that way of shipping apparently works! He slept for the first couple of hours (can't blame him lol). I placed some food next to him and left him be. Next time I checked he was chowing down. Now he spends his day cruising around and napping. Much like me. 😂 Highly recommend this seller!!

I wanted to leave a good review for this seller. I ordered a magenta mystery snail and I received the cutest little magenta snail. This particular seller took absolute great care shipping this little creature. I was impressed with the packaging, so thank you! I have tried getting a snail through other sellers and those snails didn't make the journey. I was super excited to see that she made it and is doing well.

Snail came in only a couple days & they even gave us an extra snail. Both seem pretty active. They’re more of a dark purple.Update : the baby grew to be much more magenta

I got the snail and it was super tiny, I'm glad it was sent young, and it only took about 20 seconds for it to come out of its shell and explore around the tank. My other mystery snail took 20 minutes to even start moving, so I'm really suprised on how active it is! It isn't the colors that it shown on the picture, its more purple, but I named it Cheshire after the Cheshire Cat in alice in wonderland, because the colors almost perfectly aline with it. The rating is really bad but my snail came in in great conditions, so I figured I'd boost it up a bit.
