It does pick up poop, but the teeth don't interlock. So if you've got small dogs leaving you small poops it's likely to fall out, but so will gravel. The inner handle that you pull seems flimsy, it moves easily. I'm concerned about it's longevity. Read the reviews, I wish i had- I spotless got something else.

LONG STORY SHORT:We bought a house with a .6 acre lot about a year ago. We used to live in downtown Atlanta without a yard, so every time we walked our Golden Retriever and Shiba Inu we had to break out the poop bags and carry it home. When we bought the house, I purchased this bad boy to pick up yard poop, and I'm so glad I did.PROS:-LARGE scooper. Can pick up multiples at one time.-Easy and intuitive grip action.-Foldable.-Durable. We leave it outside 24/7 and it's held up great over the last year. Basically brand new.CONS:-none. No one wants to grab poop with their hand, even if it's trough a plastic bag.CONCLUSION:10/10 would recommend.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and is not too heavy, but of sufficient construction to hold up if taken care of.

Great product - makes a messy job easy. Light, easily carried, grips in grass just fine - no bending, no handling. After full stands on its own and can be left while you finish your walk then take home.Empties just fine and can be cleaned with a quick hose down.Highly recommend this product!

Je cherchais une pelle en métal car les autres modèlent cassent habituellement. J'ai donc choisi cette pelle en sois disant métal , à un prix beaucoup plus élevé, mais elle est en plastique comme les autres. Retour à l'expéditeur

Just the ticket if you have a Canada goose problem. Those blasted things can really lay down the you-know-what, and I quickly got tired of trying to pick it up by hand. This gizmo has a nice long handle for tall folks like myself, and the jaws work perfectly--picking the stuff up while sifting the sand out through the teeth on the bottom, a good design. A flock of geese produce a lot more waste than a dog or two which means it gets heavy usage. Having said that, it remains to be seen how long this thing will last--but when it breaks I'll definitely get another.

This is the only scooper that has not broken in many months of use with 3 large dogs to clean up after. Works great on high or low grasses too.

I like the idea of claw-grip scoopers so you can do them one handed, but this one isn't it. Out of the box it was plastic and felt cheaply made and of mediocre quality. It took about 3 days for me to have to press the pull trigger back down to get it to close and about 5 days for the spring tensioner to start catching and preventing the jaws from closing all the way. Get yourself a good aluminum rake and shovel and call it done.

The only reason I bought this was because it states..material..metal. Its NOT. The only metal is the shaft. The handle and scoop are plastic which have broken previously. I wanted a METAL scoop! Disappointed

Review Edit 8/8/20Broken! After continuous daily use this product is dead. It has now completely fallen apart. I did attempt to fix it many times but I give up. If your pet poos daily go with another company.Review Edit 5/24/20- Scooper is lightweight & appears flimsy but is actually quite mighty & holding up nicely in an animal enclosure. Oiled the squeaky part & that noise went away but it’s still unnecessarily loud on the close. Maybe company can add a rubber or silicone barrier to the jaws/edging of scooper to cushion the snapping sound. Pull Lever/Handle is Made of hard plastic & is pretty uncomfortable, so a softer pull handle would be very helpful.First Review- This scooper isn’t as strong as I thought it would be ie: The material is kind of flimsy. However, it does work & I don’t have to bend over to scoop anymore. It is withstanding a lot of use so maybe the fact that it is very light weight makes me think it is not as strong as it actually is.There’s one thing that I can’t wrap my mind around though...Something I thought I would never say... “my pooper scooper is so loud!” Yup! Using in a quiet area & this scooper makes a squeaking noise when I press the lever to open the mouth/scoop. Then as I close the mouth it makes a very loud snapping sound which announces my poop scooping duty (lol). Just something to think about if you don’t want your neighbors to look in your direction every time you’re cleaning up after your animals 💩
