Returned this because the magnet will not stick to the inside of the cover. It is a cheap magnet that will probably come off and chew up the gears. The Dorman cover is much better.

This cover is similar to another model. The parts lookup was WRONG for my vehicle. I noticed numerous discrepancies in the lookup. Study the picture carefully especially around the brake hose bracket to match. ATP cover is Painted. GM factory covers are NOT typically painted and as a result mine actually rusted through from the OUTSIDE in several places. The gasket is not high end but works.

the cover i got was already painted black, and that saved me from having to paint it. i used the gasket that came with the cover and haven't seen any leaks yet. the gasket looked the same as the ones on rockauto. the service manual said to torque the bolts 20 ft/pounds and the fill plug to 27 ft/pounds. it took almost all of 2 quarts of gear oil.
