This will fit a 2002 Chevy Silverado Z71 5.3 engine with the 10 bolt hole cover. Only difference is this does not have the drain on the actual cover so as long as yours is a 10-bolt cover and you have the drain underneath and the fill hole right behind you U-joint this will fit your Silverado.

This part fits good on my 96 Chevy Silverado C1500 with the 8.5 ring gear 10 bolt differential. When I received it I immediately noticed it is stamped; Made in China. Not a problem for me as long as it fits good and works out. I then noticed it has slight burrs around the bolt holes and a film that I immediately sanded down lightly and used some #0000 steel wool to polish it up to a very nice finish. I then wanted to paint it black for corrosion protection and it went smoothly IMO. See pics. So far so good. I also added an automotive lacquer clear coat, 2 coats.

This fit my avalanche perfectly but had a few drips afterward. Re-torqued the bolts but not sure if this fixed it. I would recommend using a permatex type sealer, along with the gasket. If I end up pulling it off that is what I will do. The cover was a perfect match.
