I really didn’t know what to expect but a small investment and I like my hook setups close at hand. Attached the suction cups to the aluminum door and they still haven’t come off in three weeks.

All in all good. Bought a few used like new just got them and the threads are stripped like in the picture. Hopefully they will hold after retap them. Also if you buy holders from wallmart they will not fit. wallmart brand ones are a bit bigger them 3/8" and will not go into these.

I like the design of this, however the suction cups do not work well. The shelf just falls down. I will likely glue it in place.

The Amazon listing says that this clamp will fit a 1-inch rail but that's not really accurate. The packaging says that it fits up to 7/8. On a 1-inch rail, the clamp does not grip along the entire curved inner surface, just the edges. That's a bit unsightly, but it's adequate for moderate loads. The clamp is made out of aluminum and could presumably be filed to give a better fit. The threaded hole is 3/8 - 16.

Suction cups require very flat plastic or cglass to stick. Once I found the sweet spot on the boat, I was happy.

These work just fine. I wanted two additional mounts for the front of my boat for when I'm anchored up, but didn't want to remove the railing there. No issues from them yet, and I've caught a few nice fish form the holders that were mounted in them.
