Hold the cartridge securely in one hand and use your thumb and forefinger to grip the plastic stylus housing. Gently pull it away from the cartridge at a slight angle to remove the stylus assembly
Avoid touching the needle tip to prevent damage. Apply light pressure to grip the flanges and carefully pull the stylus away from the cartridge. You may need to gently rock the stylus to release it

Sturdy, well made stylus replacement. It seems to have all the sound quality and functionality needed.However, you need determine how the price compares to the original OEM replacement.As far as I can tell, this one is affordable. Installation is pretty easy with the little extra parts supplied.Effective and Affordable Replacement Stylus.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

This cartridge is a generic replacement for the Audio-Technica AT-VMN95E. It sounds good, but not exactly the same as the stylus it replaces. It also does not seem to feature the same construction, as seen in the photo. The genuine AT stylus has a smaller mounting bond as well as a thinner cantilever. The generic replacement has a heavier cantilever, which requires more force to vibrate. This likely is the reason it doesn't sound exactly like the name brand stylus it replaces.Having said that, it doesn't sound bad, and it is less expensive. I'm giving it 3 stars because it does fit and work properly, but if you are expecting the genuine AT sound, you may want to spend the extra 9 bucks to get the genuine article.

I got this as a replacement needle, I don’t need it yet, but I got it because I just got a new turntable that uses this needle. The needle sounds great and I’m sure that this one will as well. Plus it comes with tools to clean it which is always helpful. This needle is pretty great though so I’m sure the replacement will be as well.

I recently received an Audio Technica LP70XBT turntable that came with the Audio Technica VM95C cartridge. I noticed last week that the stylus was not centered and was concerned about using it. I saw this VM95E replacement stylus and thought I would try it. It came really well packaged and included the stylus as well as replacement cables, screws and a cleaning brush, non of which I needed but was glad they included them. The stylus was packaged in a foam surround inside and clear plastic box very securely. I do wish they shipped with a stylus guard though as it would make it easier to install. After carefully installing the stylus I played Carly Simon's Boys in the Trees Direct to Disc album and was surprised at how much better it sounded with the new stylus. Highs were more detailed and the low end was better as well with a wider sound stage. When using the VM95C there was a spot on this album that would skip but with the new stylus it no longer does. It played several other albums flawlessly as well. I have been associated with the audio industry for years and discovered and lot of manufacturers use the same factories to build their equipment and I suspect this stylus is made in the same factory Audio Technica uses to make their cartridges. Other than not having the Audio Technica logo on the stylus I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. This is a great alternative to the OEM stylus at a great price and I would highly recommend it. Be sure that this is the right stylus for your cartridge as Audio Technica changed the body of the cartridge on the newer VM series cartridges from the original AT95E series and this stylus will not work with the old cartridge body.Edit: Unfortunately I have to revise my review. After playing only 1 album the stylus became very distorted and sounded terrible. I contacted the seller and they immediately set me a replacement however the replacement is doing to same thing along with vibrating causing the woofers in my speakers to pulsate. The cartridge is not usable. I would give the stylus a 1 star but because of the great customer service I will give it 2 but I would not recommend buying this stylus. I ordered and replaced the stylus with a factory OEM Audio Technica stylus and everything works great. It wasn't worth saving $10.00 considering the inconvenience. I wish it had been a better outcome.

I was hopeful that this stylus would sound all right, given that the packaging was quite beautiful and elegantly presented. Unfortunately, the stylus sounds absolutely horrible. As you can see from the pictures, it fits the cartridge perfectly but that’s where the good news ends. Playback is strident and extremely noisy. I compared it with an OEM stylus, and the difference was quite obvious. I’m afraid that this replacement stylus is essentially unlistenable and sounds as if it would actually damage one’s vinyl. It does not make me happy to give a one star review, but I really think vinyl lovers should steer clear of this substitute and go with the original brand’s offering.

I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XBT-USB turntable, so this needle replacement fit perfectly.My records sound just as good with this stylus as they did with the AT-branded one that came with the turntable.Installation is super easy, too...unplug the turntable, remove the head of the tone arm, pop off the stylus cartridge, pop on the new one, re-connect the head to the tone arm, turn your turntable back on, and you're done. It doesn't get any easier than that.No criticisms yet...everything I've played on the turntable thus far after replacing the stylus, has sounded great!
