I've always wanted one of these ever since I saw my first one at a bougie home decor store in the '90s, and I'm not disappointed. You get a rather large chunk of actual pink salt that's been hollowed out just enough to fit the light. The walls are about 2" thick, but you can still see the light through it. I love how it illuminates all the variations in the mineral, and the soft glow is amazing for ambiance. I'm not sure if the salt evaporating is doing much for air quality, but it's real salt. I licked it.

This is a LARGE rock of salt! I love it! But it came in a box with no protection - just a plastic shrink wrap type of thing in a box slightly too large for the rock, so it rolled around and crushed the little box the light bulb was in and I had to buy a new bulb. There is no dimmer switch, but that's not really a problem either since I don't keep this one in the bedroom. It just has a simple lever-style switch. All in all it's a good lamp, but I give it 4 stars due to the way it arrived and the lack of a dimmer.

LOVE this salt lamp. It is huge, heavy and a really good size. The only downfall is it does not have a dimmer switch.The packaging looked like it was rolling around in the back of a truck for quite a while, but the lamp itself was undamaged & intact.The warm, soft glow of salt lamps are so soothing and give off a feeling of comfort and warmth in the cold, dark winters. A+ for ambiance.

It came witha broken bulb so I have no idea if it works yet. Will update my review when I know for sure it works.

The quality of the salt lamp unit itself seems ok. It puts out decent light. The two-way toggle switch that turns it on and off is very sensitive and feels very cheaply made.I suppose for about $30 this isn't terrible, but I think there are better options. It works ok, but the switch is just super-cheap. You barely have to touch it, and the switch will go the other way. That switch is so touchy and sensitive that I honestly wouldn't buy this particular salt lamp again.

thought this might just be a resin design or something but it's an actual heavy piece of salt that's been hollowed out and equipped with a light fixture in the bottom. I wish the power cable was longer

Beautiful salt lamp. It’s a great size and shape. Comes with a bulb inside that needs to be screwed in. It is nice and bright and leaves a lovely soft pink hue over the room. One thing to note is that it is not a dimmer switch but a regular on/off switch.
