I have two regular-sized Himalayan salt lamps, and I love them both so much that I got two Himalayan salt night lights. I'm really a fan of the soft orangey glow, so I was really excited to get to try this Himalayan salt lamp with five massage balls! It's quite a different style from the other lamps I have. Instead of a big, rough rock of salt, this is a smooth bowl with a hole in the middle for a light bulb. The bowl holds five salt balls that stack inside and are warmed by the bulb. The balls can then be used in a massage, which sounds amazing, but I haven't experienced that yet. (I love the look of this lamp! Ours sits on a side table in our living room, and I think it looks beautiful during the day, and even more so at night. It's just the right amount of light to illuminate a dark space, but isn't too bright at all. It's just a gorgeous orange glow, and it makes me smile every time I see it. I also love to sometimes pick one of the balls out of the bowl and just hold it, letting it warm my hands. They don't get too hot, but they do need to touch the bulb to heat up, of course. I am a little concerned about one of those balls shifting or rolling into the bulb a little too hard and breaking it, but it hasn't happened yet, knock wood. Fortunately, this lamp does come with an extra bulb in case that does happen. I have no complaints about this lamp at all! I know there are supposed to be health or mood benefits from Himalayan salt and salt products, and though I have had these products in my home for years, I can't say I have noticed any differences or benefits. I just know that I think their soft glow is beautiful and that alone makes me happy!I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!

If you have ever used one of those either rice or corn packs that you can warm up in the microwave as a means of easing a tight muscle, this pink Himilayan Salt bowl and warming balls, put this option in a smaller and customizable package and they look cool. The Salt bowl, light and heat level can be adjusted and the salt balls heat is provided by contact with the bowl and from close proximity to the light bulb. You can adjust the brightness and thus the heat, but there is a limit to home much heat that can be provided, so you are not going to get a large blast of heat from these, you do have to handle them after all. While I really don’t know the benefits of heating up Himalayan Salt, I do know the benefit of warmth. Nothing like a little heat on the small of your back or at various trigger points at times. Also, I have this bowl on my bar from my kitchen to my living room. The bowl gives a nice warm light when the light is dim.WHAT YOU GET:**** The salt bowl itself, which has a long cord and adjustable switch.**** 5 salt balls**** 3 light bulbs. One you use right away, the others are spares**** InstructionsOUT OF THE BOX:When I received the box looked a bit beat up, but everything was fine. Given it held brittle salt balls, a salt bowl and 3 light bulbs this was no small feat. The salt balls were packed in plastic, that took me forever to remove. It reminded me of unwrapping my first CD case. Hard brittle plastic too. You would grab and edge and it would break off. However once everything was set up, it looked great. It takes a bit for these balls to heat up, so you want to turn them on before you need them. Maybe a half an hour.

UPDATE 10/12/21:So, I've updated this to add a picture that I took of my husband joking around and licking the salt. He ended up really loving this thing...and now that he's dead I find myself revisiting pictures often and thought I would share this one in the review.ORIGINAL:This has the potential to be very beautiful. The only real problem I'm having is that I can't get the massage balls to line up in a way that prevents accidentally seeing the light bulb. I've tried several variations in the stone arrangement (they aren't all the same size), but that has not helped.Apart from that it's pretty nice....though it would be better in so many ways if the stones came in little velvet bags instead of shrink wrapped plastic...Hear me out...yes, it would end up needing to cost a little more, but you wouldn't have to spend 5-10 minutes per stone to free them from the shrink wrap...you also wouldn't risk accidentally cutting yourself while you try to cut the plastic, or damaging the massage ball while trying to cut the plastic.Once you are past that set up headache, it does look nice enough. It would be a lot better if the stones lined up to cover the bulb better. I can't speak to the massage feature for the stones, as I got it for the salt lamp features and the different look.
