My husband is gutting our rental basement and these fit the bill for PPE. They cover his clothes well and are just a bit form fitting. Still, he is 6'5" and 235 pounds, so a big man and these still fit. I'd bet they'd fit the average person just fine. I am 6'0 and 180 and they are perfect with a bit of wiggle room on me. These do protect from dust, dander, dirt, and dead mice(!) that we have found in the ceiling tiles in the basement, and we are so glad to have them for this project. If you are a frequent DIY OR if you have a toddler or active puppy these could be so helpful. I have worn them outside on very muddy days and my clothes are unscathed even though I have had mud literally thrown at me and have wrestled a muddy toddler into the house for a bath, so they are multi purpose. Definitely recommend if you are in the market. I think they are far better quality than you will find in your local shops. They don't rip or tear easily.

These coveralls are great for any kind of dirty job that you might have to face, from painting to car repair. They're lightweight and disposable, and large enough to wear over regular clothing, and they even come with booties for your shoes. They are made of a breathable fabric which is water resistant. Now, although they are breathable, they will still retain some body heat, so your comfort will depend on how hard you work and the ambient weather conditions. But short of working in the nude--which some people might prefer--these will keep you as comfortable as is humanly possible. If you're like me, when you paint, for example, no matter how careful you are, you'll always manage to get paint on your clothing or shoes. These coveralls are your answer. The only thing I dislike about them is their color. Powder blue is one of my least favorite colors. I wish they were olive drab. But that's a minor complaint.

These suits are unisex. The only question is if they are small enough for some, and big enough for others. After decades working in an operating room fully suited up in gowns, shoe covers, and the like, I would estimate the sizing on these coveralls to be a unisex XL. At 5'9" and 165# I have no problem wearing them, although the arms are a little long and there may be a little excess length in the legs. Since these coveralls are not made for sterile working conditions, having a roll of one inch tape on hand to adjust and secure the parts that don't fit quite right is the best way of keeping excess fabric from being a nuisance or a hazard. Some of the main things we taped up in the OR was our headcoverings, masks, and shoe covers. Shoe covers were an especially important thing to get right because none of them were an exact fit. We would pull them over our shoes and as far back as we could. Then we folded the excess fabric up at the back of the shoe and taped it firmly there. If the front of the shoe cover was puffy looking above the shoe many people would run the one inch tape around the top and bottom of the front of the shoe to make the fit better. I can see from the shoe covers enclosed with these suits that they most definitely could use some tape at the heels and over the front of the shoes for women. I can also see that most men are going to have trouble fitting into the shoe covers unless they have fairly small feet. Just having on a pair of workboots may make them unusable for most men. The answer to that is hunting on amazon for XXL shoe covers. But better than the regular shoe covers they sell, I once found very large, white, lightweight, knee-high shoe covers (intended for infection control) that would give men more options for getting all of their shoes/boots completely covered. Maybe amazon even sells the thicker, blue, OR weight, knee highs, but expect to pay much more for those. When I wear these suits I do plan to cinch up or stuff the excess length of the legs into the shoe covers. Not doing that would open me up to the fabric catching on things and possibly tearing or creating a trip hazard. The excess arm fabric I would attempt to keep cinched above the elbow so it is not hanging down around the forearm to catch on things or fall over the top of the gloves. I would need to do something with the way the headcovering fits too to keep it out of my eyes.I do have a problem with some of the language that is used in the ad to describe these coveralls because I think of these suits as more for keeping someone clean and dust-free. The fabric is incredibly light, and the lighter it is the less ability it will have keeping water out. It may do that for awhile, but not for long. The word hazmat makes me think of a suit capable of dealing with significant hazards. If it were me I would not use these for anything beyond dirt, dust, paint, etc. Do these really keep out fiberglass? That is great if they do, but anything like asbestos, biohazards, etc., require enhanced protection. I do wish the language made all of this explicitly clear: What it is for, and what it is definitely not for.I am embarking on a lot of construction around the property and really like having a lot of these lightweight suits around for myself and in case the workers need them. But when I go over to a friend's house to move boxes out of an attic where rats have gotten inside, I WON'T be wearing these suits. I will be covered up from head to foot in fabric made specifically for biohazards (hantavirus) with N95 masks, glasses, gloves, etc. Just don't take for granted the word "hazmat" covers all hazards.

I worried it wouldn’t fit me because I’m 6 feet tall and 200lbs and plan to wear my regular clothes underneath it, but it fit me just fine. I bought these for different uses. I spray paint projects and hand brush paint on wood outside and don’t want overspray or paint on my clothes or in my hair or on my shoes. It’s a huge plus it has shoes covers because you will always get paint on your shoes. I also have tall grass behind and need to weedwack one day so I might as well wear one of these suits since I have a case. Now, why did I give it 4 stars? The first one out of the box was incorrectly manufactured! The bottom of the zipper was sown on the outside , not in the inside like the rest and no way to zip it. (See photo) I looked through several more in the box for defects and it looks like the first one I picked out of the box was the only one with a defect. I think I’ll just wear that one when I plant flowers to protect my pants because no way to zip it up.

Excellent cover for dust involved or painting work, if you hate ruining your clothing this is a must have aside for whenever that projects arrives. It protects very well and I like it also has a hood to cover the head/hair. Is easy to put on and if you like you can reuse it.
