I recently got into matcha and this set was the perfect addition to my new hobby! It includes everything you need – two whisks, a bamboo scoop, spoon, and a sifter. I love how easy it is to use, and the whisks create a smooth, frothy matcha with no lumps. The set feels really high-quality for the price, and the extra whisk is a nice touch. It was well-packaged, making it a great gift option too! The only thing I would note is that it doesn’t come with a bowl, but that’s easy to find. Highly recommend this set to anyone starting their matcha journey.

I was surprised by the quality of the products in this set. I admit being a little weary at this price until I received the order.Great value with the fact this comes with two chasen whisks. Just these two items alone are worth the price. They were nicely individually packaged. If one breaks, you have a replacement on hand. Or it is good to replace periodically. How often depends on how frequently one uses it. Everyday use, six months replacement would be sufficient.I always soak the tip of the whisk for two minutes in very hot water (from a kettle), but hot tap water is fine. This is to soften them a bit to improve the whisking of the matcha powder. Also, it sanitized before use.What you don’t want to do though is rinse the flat narrow measuring scoop (see my photo). It will ruin the bamboo. Just wipe it off with a cloth. Because it is thicker than the whisk, it is more likely to get mold with exposure to washing. This is why.The stainless steel strainer is used to prevent bubbles of powder in the tea that you spoon in your tea bowl or up. Just measure in to it and tap on the palm of your hand. It will form bubbles in the strainer, but that’s OK. Simply press them with the flat scoop or also included spoon then dump into the bowl.The chasen whisk works very well in my chawan tea bowl as you can see from my photo. You get excellent froth as claimed.The set also comes with a great wooden spoon which is great for measuring matcha for matcha lattes or other drinks.I don’t practice formal sode tea ceremony, but am experienced at making matcha. So this set is excellent for beginners and experienced users alike. Though these products are not made in Japan, the quality is still very good for the price and an incredible bargain.Good design, good build quality

I recently got into matcha and needed the utensils to enjoy it at its best. These were fab. It gives you all the tools you need (besides the bowl but we all have those!) to truly enjoy matcha.
