These lights are extremely handy for a variety of situations, but my absolute favourite application is during a power outage, serving as a substitute for candles or flashlights! However, these lights can be used almost anywhere. Here are some features I especially appreciate:- Cozy, warm white illumination- Three levels of brightness- Rechargeable- Long-lasting battery charge (and quick to charge)- Lightweight and easy to carry- Secure hook with a clip (perfect for windy outdoor use)- Water-resistantAt only $15, this provides excellent value. I strongly suggest getting several and storing them in each bedside drawer. These would also make excellent gifts and stocking stuffers.

This light is surprisingly bright for a battery powered LED. It lights up a dark area quite well, so it would be great for camping or in the event of a power failure. There are three brightness settings, achieved with subsequent single-presses of the button. It charges with USB-C and the charging port is well protected by a rubber cover so water cannot easily enter. One little thing I found about mine was that it ran great when attached to USB-C power, but when I removed the power, it did not light up at all. After exhausting the alternatives, I disassembled it and found that the connections to the internal lithium ion battery are soldered, rather than spot welded, and one of them had detached from the battery.I re-soldered the connection and reassembled the bulb and it worked perfectly. I think it would be better if the manufacturer switched to spot welding the battery connections.

To classify this handy light as a “camping” bulb minimizes how handy this device is! I don’t camp often, but I ordered this because it does not take up a lot of space, and I thought it would be great on those few occasions I do camp.It arrived pre-charged, so I was able to use it straight out of the box. I’m spending the night with a relative in the hospital and happened to grab this bulb on the way out the door. I am so thrilled to have it. The light level can be adjusted to three levels. It has been a perfect light for me to read without needing the overhead light on.We had a power outage last week, and this would have been awesome then! The bulb is clear plastic, so I’m not worried about shattering it in storage. I plan to order more of these and keep one in each car as well a few in the house and on my back patio.

This light resembles an old light bulb, which looks really cute and funny, with waterproof enclosures for the plug. The size is pretty big, I was surprised when I first opened it, but it doesn't bother you that much when camping since it gives off more light and you really can't see how big it is in the dark. The battery life was average, and the light has 3 different brightness options and I just keep it at the lowest since the brightest option isn't too bright and I'd rather save battery life. It's a perfect ambient, mood light when camping.

I live in a big city (Montreal) but, unfortunately, experience a lot of power outages sometimes even on the clearest, calmest days. I think we all live in fear of another Ice Storm being repeated. Most people I know, myself included, have slowly over time accumulated emergency items light lights, flashlights and the like. If another Ice Storm did happen, a light like this would be of little use after the charge ran out BUT for an outage of a day or two, it would be wonderful during the night to illuminate dark hallways and rooms especially if placed in front of a mirror to reflect even more light. This emergency light is whimsical in that it looks exactly like a light bulb right down to the filament wires but there is no glass involved. With a handy carabiner-type clip, the lightbulb can be attached to almost anything including a belt loop on your jeans. The light has three different settings for brightness. It is rechargeable using a USB cable which is included. It takes between 1 to 2 hours to fully charge and depending on what brightness level you use, you can get anywhere up to 10 hours of use on a charge. While my lightbulb is pretty much strictly for indoor use, I recognize that it would be very useful for outdoor use when camping or hiking. It is waterproof and has a sturdy build so it won’t shatter if you accidentally drop it. Being waterproof, it can be hung outside to illuminate stairs during a blackout to ensure the safety of yourself and others. The price has gone up $1.00 in the past 20 days and now sits at $15.99 (August 2024) which is not too expensive for a rechargeable, no batteries needed emergency light. It’s a great emergency light for when the power goes off that can also be attached to your person if you are out in the street when the power is out so cars can see you. Would probably work well being attached to the back of some Hallowe’en costumes for added visibility.

I have found so many different applications for this light. Love the design and super light weight of it. Can be hung pretty much anywhere and will provide a quality and bright light for a descent amount of time when taking in consideration the size and weight of it. Another cool thing is that it has 3 levels of brightness. I took it camping and everyone got curious about my "wireless" light bulb. The bulb itself is plastic so it's not so fragile making it even easier to carry around without worrying it will break. The warm yet bright light is very nice and looks good. Overall it's a good product!

There are some pretty good features this simple clip light has that I enjoyed in my testing: it doesn’t weigh much so it isn’t going to add pain to any pack you’re hauling full of gear. The bulb component is plastic and isn’t as much of a dangerous shatter risk as a real light would be.I found that it charged quickly and held enough juice for illumination in my black-out sun blocking tent while I organized my gear or read a book at night. After two nights use at around 4 hour blocks (8 hours total) I decided to top up the charge off a USB-C battery pack just to be sure. The clip attachment let me hang it from loops in the ceiling of my tent. I found the uncovered bulb illumination a little on the bright side in a small space, but since it is LED-based I might fashion a thin fabric cover from a handkerchief to give it some mood and control the glare.

I like these hanging rechargeable lightbulbs. I originally got a couple for camping, but found they're also good for power outages and other uses. Right after this light bulb arrived, we had a power outage and it was very difficult to see in our bathroom. It was still sitting on the table, so I opened it and hung it from the bathroom light fixture about the sink, put it on the highest setting, and voila, we could see again! Not as well, obviously as with electric lights, but definitely an improvement over total darkness. So I'm going to keep a couple handy in the house from now on, as well as a couple with our camping gear. The product listing says to charge it when it arrived, but I had not had time to do that yet when I grabbed it to use, and it was pre-charged. We turned it on and off a few times over the course of 4 or 5 hours, and it still had charge when the power came back on. I don't know how long we would have gotten if we'd left in on continuously. But I charged it up to be on the safe side after that. It comes with a USB-C cord. This particular one has a nicer hanger than some - it has a closing mechanism, so it isn't going to just fall off wherever you hang it. It also has three settings, which could be nice for different circumstances, though I would probably mostly choose the highest setting. The price (right now slightly under $10) is on the high-average for one of these types of bulbs, though maybe worth that because of the locking hook and different light settings.

I ordered this as we frequently camp and just purchased a new large tent and I wanted to get some accessories for it. I love the look of exposed filament LED bulbs. This one doesn't disappoint. The housing is plastic but is very clear. It does have 3 distinct lighting levels, the brightest being quite bright - I'd say about equal to a 40-watt incandescent. Unfortunately, the run-time when the light it as this brightness is very short - only about an hour before it starts dimming. The lowest setting gave me about 3 hours of usable light before it started getting noticeably dimmer. It's clear that this has a relatively small battery inside. It does charge quick - less than an hour, but I do with that it had a bigger battery and longer life. Still, at the price point, it's a great light if it meets your expectations
