This jacket is what I’ve been lookin for since the carhartt model I used (J002) got discontinued.This one’s as tough and I’d say warmer!

Berne makes very good quality jackets and clothing. I have owned a few others. I would recommend this jacket. It's very comfortable and warm. It has a lot of inside pockets also.

Before I write anything about the product, I need to disclose that I had never bought a jacket designed for workmen before. For the last seven years, starting from 2012, I have been wearing fleece jackets, and I like the fact that fleece jackets tend to be extremely light weight. What I did not know about this jacket before hand (I did not read the description properly) was that it would weigh as much as it does. I find the weight of the jacket a bit off putting.Other than the weight of the item, I have an issue with its fitting as well. I am almost six feet tall, and I bought a large jacket after consulting the sizing chart. However, the jacket is a tad short. Now I do not know if that’s by design — it’s intended to sit a little higher than most jackets — or if it’s actually a little short. Nevertheless, I am a bit disappointed that it does not fit perfectly. I feel that it’s by design a bit short as the sleeves fit perfectly.On the plus side, it has a very nice inner lining, and the construction of the jacket feels extremely durable. Had it been a little lighter and a little longer, I would have found it a perfect companion for our winters here in Pakistan.

It is somewhat large on me for being an "XL" size (I'm 6' and 200 lbs), but since I will be wearing it when it is cold outside with at least a couple layers of clothing it should be quite fine. It is a strong and sturdy looking jacket with plenty of room for movement due to the pleats in the elbow and shoulders and I believe it should give me years of good service.

Great jacket! I was concerned about buying without being able to try it on, no worries! Fits great! Very warm but does not overheat a person. Very happy with my new jacket!!!

This coat is Awsome it is very well constructed. It has two inside pockets and one outside that have the same heavy-duty construction as the coat itself. The two hand pockets have thick liners that should hold up constant useage and the fleece liner continues through the length of the arms. This coat is so well constructed it was like it was made with MS (military specifications) specs in mind. It is made to last. Update it is 2018 now and this coat is still awsome it is now winter 2018 and have used it for 2 previous years in the fall, winter and early spring this coat is still going and get compliments of this particular style as everyone else has the cookie cutter Cintas or Aramark brand winter work coats.
