These should work well for most common dials. Maybe less so for smaller diameters. My only complaint so far is they are way overpriced.

This is a great little product. I used it right away, and it was pretty much just like I saw in a YouTube video for it. It doesn't harm the plastic knob or the pickguard. I wish I had invented it. I'll bet that person is a multi-millionaire by now. Anyway, to sum it up: If you play electric guitar, you will need this or will probably eventually need this handy tool. Delivered on time, too. KUDOS!

I recently bought a used hollow body guitar that had a loose volume control. The nut beneath the control needed tightening but the space between the nut and the guitar body is too narrow for a wrench. I tried everything but could not remove the control from the guitar body. This tool worked like a charm: the knob popped right off without damaging the guitar. In this case, the knob did not have a side screw.

I saw this on a guitar setup video on YouTube. I've always used a tshirt or spoons to pry up knobs but this make it way easier. No more damage to your pots or knobs. It's simple and effective and doesn't really need an explanation. If you work on guitars, amps, or pedals a lot this little tool has a variety of uses and is well worth the cash.

I purchased this item to make disassembly of guitar knobs easy. It works most of the time. Since its made of plastic it tends to flex which leads to the tools slipping off from under a stubborn knob. Great concept. I plan to make a more sturdy version.

I wish I had gotten one of these years ago. It was only after I dented my Paul Reed Smith that I decided to get one. The knobs on the PRS have always been extremely hard to remove. But with this tool, it comes off like butter without putting any pressure at all on the guitar. Excellent tool. If you work on guitars just get one. It's cheap, effective and simple to use.

My American Strat didn't have enough space between the body and the bottom of the knob, most of my guitars didn't have that problem. You put the knob puller in position, slide the outside ring down to hold things together and pull. It works very well. On the Strat I had to partially lift the knobs because the plastic fingers were thicker than the space. I don't know how common. When I put the knobs back on I made sure to leave space for this puller because it isn't going to scratch my guitar body like a screwdriver or knife or whatever else you might stick under the knob might.

Every now and then something comes along that needs to be included in your guitar maintenence collection and this is one of those things. It is simple to work, very sturdy and just works 100%. If you are working on guitars replacing electronics, polishing or anything that requires removing the knobs etc., you need one of these pullers. To test the durability, I tried on several knob types and was able to remove all of them with little effort which includes speed knobs, top hats etc. Anyone that has any problems with this tool, should NOT be working on their equiptment. The only way to use this properly and quickly is to simply pull up the loop, slide the puller over the knob, push the loop down and pull up. Done! Even if the knob is very close to the body, this will easily slide under the base of any knob and allow you to quickly remove without harming the body. This is one of those items that will be copied and as popular as a string winder, get it now while the quality and cost are a perfect match.
