This is a great deterrent for a bike thief. It won’t stop them but it is loud. I have this for my electric e bike. I also have locks too. It is just one more thing to add to my bike to help it get from stolen. I will put this under my seat.

Let me start by saying that this product is pretty cool and it is clear that some real thought went into its design. At its core, this is a motion detection alarm with a remote fob. I could imagine lots of different applications this might be used for, even though it's marketed as a bike alarm.The small box includes everything to use right away: the alarm-horn, the remote, a dock for the remote (to store while riding), a tiny phillips screwdriver (for battery replacement), a triangle spudger (battery replacement), 2 double-faced sticky pads, and two 9" zip ties (to firmly affix the horn). Horn takes 3 AAA batteries which are included, along with the complete but slightly difficult to follow instructions.Here is what it does:When alarm is set, movement of the horn causes a single warning-chirp to sound. If it is moved again within 20 seconds (instructions say 12; but it's 20) the main alarm sounds and cycles through all 6 tones (similar to a car alarm from the 90s). It will sound continuously for 30 seconds or until you press the disarm button, whichever comes first. If the alarm sounds for a full 30 seconds, it resets to armed and continued movement will set it off again. I confirmed that the fob works through walls at >100 ft. away.There is an SOS feature that can be set or disabled. When set, if the horn moves more than 45° (for >5 seconds) a proper SOS tone will sound. This is meant to attract attention if you fall off the bike and are unable to get up.A couple of observations:⦁ The alarm-horn also uses a screw that needs to be removed to access the batteries. This is a great design so someone can't just walk up and easily remove the batteries. It also fits tight with a gasket, which should stand up to rainy weather.⦁ The sensitivity, tone, and volume are all adjustable settings which are remembered. However, you will want to keep and refer to the instructions as long as you use this device. (note that the translation of the instructions definitely leaves something to be desired).Final thoughts:As a bike alarm, this product will not keep your bike from being stolen; but it could be good in conjunction with a chain/lock, because it does a good job raising an audibe alarm when it's being messed with. It is also budget-friendly. I'm thinking about mounting one on the door to my greenhouse to let me know if (and startle) someone that opens it, when that shouldn't.

Wow this is a great little alarm, very loud, so loud it will wake the dead who will be very angry that you disturbed their RIP, that's how loud it is. This is for my eBike to provide additional security.When you press the activate button on the remote you hear a brief 1 sec melody that it's initiating, then after about 2 seconds you hear one beep letting you know it's activated and ready. If it's bumped or otherwise senses motion two loud beeps sound as a warning, and if it's bumped or moved again then the alarm wails extremely loud for about 30 seconds, then stops. Or if it continues to sense motion then the loud alarm sound wails continuously until it senses no motion at which time it stops.Additionally there are 7 adjustable sensitivity levels and 3 adjustable volume levels, the default settings from the factory are the most sensitive and the loudest alarm sound, and of course you can change these to your liking. And the alarm is also IP65 waterproof, so it should be okay in the rain if that occurs.No anti-theft alarm is perfect, but this little guy will definitely be a big and immediate surprise to any would be thief, who no doubt will reconsider what he's doing, while also being concerned about people in the vicinity who no doubt have turned to look towards the alarm noise.And you can use these anywhere, I also purchased another one for our RV travel trailer entry door, mounted on inside of door, still very loud from outside, will definitely make its presence known to anyone who tries to enter.Yeah I really like this Super Duper Ear-Splitting LOUD Alarm!
