This is one of those products that is cheap to purchase and gives a good infrastructure to do what you want.... But you have to now about circuits and relays. The unite I was sent went from ground to nothing/open. Pretty useless until tested the relay and found a positive to ground connection that needed to be soldered to using the taking the green wire relocated from it's initial connection. After that it took one more relay to give me the open to positive I needed. The big positive with this purchase is the scanner which made it worth the U.S. Jackson that I paid.

Let me provide a more complete technical description of this device. This is a one-shot bistable latch circuit, set by the fob and reset by switching off the power. When reset (powered up) the green wire is switched through the internal relay to ground (normally closed). When set by the fob, the green wire is switched open and the LED illuminates. Although the submini relay looks capable of probably 10 amps, the 24 gauge wiring limits the current carrying ability. Fob activation distance is about 1.88" (parallel) or 1.25" (perpendicular). Parasitic current drain is about 30mA and 50mA when set.
