The stem attached to the pads is very short. The brake themselves are ok, not sure of longevity.

Paying $7 while any other set costs $18 - $19 explains the 'quality'.

Not so bad, but wear-out little quicker. May be due to kids apply breaks very frequently, but it last for 6 months for daily riding.

These brake pads have solid stopping power and don't squeal. They are simple to install and price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I got these for the neighborhood kids.. Their brakes were gone so I bought them some new ones.. They have ridden around for a few weeks with them on and so far, no problems.. I can not speak for longevity, or how they work when wet, as they have only used their bikes on dry days.. as long as they work, that is all that matters.. Any braking is better than no braking..

Cheap; but work well. No issues with installation on a kids bike and they hold up well to use.

I bought a couple of pairs of these pads for two road bikes, both with Shimano Sora calipers and shifter/brake levers. In both cases I was replacing old time-hardened pads. Both installations were straightforward, sizes and screws matched/fit well and the brakes were easy to adjust. Toe in is hard to adjust with these kind of brakes, but there was no squealing, so it was fine. These soft pads directly made a big difference in smoothing braking action on both bikes. But braking efficiency was dramatically reduced, meaning that, especially at higher speeds, braking was more gradual and a lot more power and lever compression was needed for sufficient stopping power. Even compared to the some of the soft pads made by Shimano, these are still softer. I personally ride on semi-rural roads where I rarely have to brake suddenly to a full stop, but doing so would definitely require my hands in the drops getting the most leverage possible. In the hoods it is much harder to apply maximum force with these. So, if you ride in areas where sudden stops and maximum braking power is a necessity, these pads are probably not for you. If you would like smooth soft pads that are expected to wear your rims slower and most of your stops are controlled, these should do the job. Also, I would not expect these to last long, being so soft to start with. But the price to utility ratio is still pretty good.
