I do not use this on a bike. I have been using it on my sign. I am a school crossing guard and have added it to my stop sign on foggy days and early mornings. I think it works great for that and the kids love it.

This is a bike tail light that is very easy to install, shining bright red lights in various modes, and lasting a long time.I like it and I can recommend it, but know some of its shortcomings too:- As easy to install it is, it is probably also easy to be removed and snatched away.- Waterproof rate of IPX5 is described as "small rain, splash water" and the weather fairy does not guarantee you that she will stop there.- While not a big problem, it uses micro-USB plug for charging.- Some of the flashing modes might be confused as a turn signal, as they are not symmetric.

Got this rear light for my son's mountain bike. I wanted him to have some extra lighting on his bike so he is more visible to vehicles while riding around.It's actually more robust and well built than I was expecting, feels quite solid. The red LEDs are quite bright, easily visible at a distance even in a well lit garage. Not quite as visible on a bright sunny day, but very bright at night.There is a single button on the side to power on/off and toggle between modes. You can have it lit up solid, or choose between different blinking sequences. The chasing and breathing sequence looks really cool, and the strobe is probably best for visibility.Installation is simple, it has a silicone strap attached that you just wrap around the seat post, and then it catches on a tab on the other side. The strap could be a little longer but has a lot of stretch and I was able to install it no problem.It's nice that it is rechargeable instead of requiring battery changes, but my one and only complaint is that it uses the older USB micro style charging cable instead of the much more common modern USB C. It would have been nice if it were USB-C because I have a lot more charging cables of different length that would have worked well. It's a minor gripe but shows that this is probably an older design. But does not impact functionality in any way.Otherwise it's a nice quality light and my kid really likes it.
