I'm not sure how they'd do for heavy e-bikes, but for our 2 normal bikes, they provided a space-efficient way to store them on my garage wall. Being able to position my wife's bike lower (just hovering off the ground), meant that it would be easy for her to lift it off & go.

These are adequate mounts. Now, don't expect them to hold up a dirt bike. Generally, quality mountain bikes are light and mine are held up by these just fine. I could see someone having issues if they load up their bike with a ton of accessories thus overloading this. I'm very satisfied with them.
