These have a solid feel in your hand. The finish is good. I like the beveling, and the size of the head is great so it sits on the outside of the pole nicely.One aspect I at first thought was not good is that the shaft's outer diameter is .258" rather than .25". However, on use, that is fine since it still goes into the hole in the wood (I didn't use these on metal posts), and the size helps keep it in place.All in all, they are better than I had hoped for.

I'm building a rather large deck expansion at our cabin and want to continue to use the cable railing already there. This 80 pack is just right for my needs . I like that the package comes with a bit as well, but my guess, from experience, is that the bit won't last long. It's fine though, that's not why I got the set in the first place. I guess we will have to see how time affects these. It says stainless steel...and it looks like stainless steel, but only time in the elements will tell the tale of their longevity.

A magnet doesn't stick to these, and they're too heavy to be aluminum, so probably an austentitic stainless steel in the 300 series. Seems fine for the application.

These are a must to get that clean look. I used a dab of caulk around it to have it stay in place
