I ordered these massive cleats for my new boat house. They were a fraction of the cost from local boat supply stores. The cleats are very solid and look great in my pilings. I can easily utilize them with two 1/2” dock lines if needed. I’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. Don’t hesitate if you need new cleats. And go big, you may need to use more than one dock line at times.

I replaced 2 old cast iron cleats with this model. I used 316 stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers to anchor the cleats (not included). I used the stainless because I am on the ocean. I had to drill new holes and used 1/2 inch bolts. I placed a rubber/silicone gasket under the cleat to make sure water did not accumulate underneath. Hopefully, if I think of it, I will circle back and update this post after some time. Sometimes saltwater and aluminum don't get along well. The cleat looks like it has a surface that might avoid the rust deterioration.

Great cleat. Love the offset design so that real bolts can be used to attach to the dock. Will never buy another style.

I went off the discription because it was replacing existing s-cleats the discription was wrong and the product was not usable
