I bought these strictly for use in decorating but they are the actual heavy strong cleats used on piers. Great Wall accent now!

I used these to make coat hooks and towel hangers for a lake cabin. I assume they would work well for their actual purpose as well. They seem sturdy and the price was right.

Awesome to use as a curtain hold and a cabinet pull. Doesn't come with screws but you can use any type of screw. I just used a #9 (width of long threaded body of screw) screws, some torx (top is a star instead of a + or - ) ... The base isn't super flat, it's semi rounded but that doesn't matter for what it is. The picture of the curtain hold isn't usually how we Tie it, we usually wrap it around an ex pattern kind of like how you would do to tie a boat to the dock. Overall a very beach-like accent piece addition to our home.
