All my garments are hand-sewn using couture techniques. I don't know how these needles will do on thicker fabrics, but for light summery cotton and linen, they are amazing. When they arrived, I thought they were too small for me to hold with my weak hands, but the slimness of the needle allows it to glide through fabric much more easily, and sewing is much faster. They are easier to hold for this reason. The shortness of the needle makes overcasting, fell/slip stitching, and maneuvering in tight spots much easier. I wish I had these sooner.

I can load up 4-5 stitches on the needle and it doesn’t bend. Just right.

These are the best needles for hand quilting. Our quilting group uses a size 9. The shaft of the needle is slim but strong, and the eye is easy to thread. I highly recommend the Bohin size 9 for hand quilting.

Perfect needle for quilting. Easy to sew with. Sturdy but had a tiny give to it also.

When I got these and took one out I thought I wouldn’t like them. Not as thin as my John James needles. But you know what? I can get smaller, more even stitches with these. They are great.

I was surprised at how tiny these needles were, but having hand-quilted with them a bit I am sold! So very strong and smooth. The glide makes it easier on my hand and wrist. The eyes are small but perfectly uniform and I was able to thread my heavyweight hand-quilting thread without much problem.
