Compared the the nut supplied with a custom 5 string banjo, these blanks were like working ceramic! I had to resort to my grinder rather than sander for basic forming. The extra issues in forming are more than made up is great sound, a definite improvement over the original bone nut.

Unfinished blocks of natural bone. Very good if you can do your own shaping and fitting. Good value.

They are tasty, but hard to chew. Also, even tho they're nuts they are not vegan as they are bone.
