Easy install. You need “Flat Spots” on which to tighten down the set screws which hold the shaft in place unlike the OEM shafts which have “clamp type” attachments. They are a more expensive than ORM design, but they are more robust shafts and u-joints.

Fit my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500. Haven’t driven the truck yet bcuz I have the whole front end tore apart but this shaft seems to be good quality and more heavy duty than then the stock shaft. Highly recommend using Blue Loctite on the Allen head bolt and 13mm bolts. I used a Center punch to punch the threads on flat on the steering box shaft. It does come with directions. I also painted the shaft black to help prevent corrosion. Do not paint where the shaft slides though it will not slide smoothly.

If you own a 2nd gen Dodge Ram 2wd pickup this is a must to have. The original one from the factory had slack and was recalled. The Borgeson shaft is very heavy duty and provides smooth steering. They have great tech support. Awesome product.

This item is listed as fitting a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 however it does not fit my 02. Check to make sure you have a rack and pinion setup vs a steering box. This product is designed for the steering box as one end has the "DD" fitting and the other has the splined end. The stock rack and pinion that came in my 2002 has a "DD" end on both ends. A call to Borgeson technical support confirmed that steering shaft assembly 000952 for the 2003+ Dodge Ram 1500's will work. Outside of the fact that it does not fit my truck I can tell the quality of construction of the 000950 is really good. Waiting on delivery to confirm and will update then.**UPDATE** Borgeson 000952 has arrived and is installed in my 2002. It installed in no time at all and just like the 000950 it is built very well.

Purchased and installed with the Borgeson 800120 steering gearbox. This gearbox and shaft set are designed as an exact replacement/ upgrade for Dodge Ram trucks and does so perfectly. Installation was simple and straightforward. I have installed several Borgeson steering upgrade parts over the years for others who have been very satisfied. This is the first install of Borgeson parts on my own vehicle and I am very glad I did it. The quality and manufacturing of the parts is second to none, finishing is flawless. Comparing designs, the Borgeson seems a much better choice: built of better materials, and likely to outlast the stock shaft by many years & miles.

My steering had some play and it was time for an upgrade. I changed the steering gear at the same time. (upgraded to the Borgeson Delphi) WOW what a difference. It is a little pricey but... it seems to be very well made and fit perfect. If you are looking to upgrade some of your steering components. I would put this on the short list.
