It's even smaller than I thought! It's easy to light and produces enough heat to boil water efficiently. The flow of fuel is enough to keep a flame in the wind, and it's so small that it can be packed anywhere. So far, I like the quality and functionality.

Great small stove. Light weight and easy to pack away. Every cartridge available in local outdoor stores has fit and usually last a long time, heating up water 3 times a day while camping.

Nice stove, faster and better in the wind, and lighter, than my old Snowpeak. I like that it came with an extra O ring, which repaired the Snowpeak, so now I have 2 stoves!

I ordered this as a replacement for a canister stove I bought back in 2014 that stopped working on my last trip. I wanted something small, easy, and affordable. First thoughts on this is that it is tiny! I thought my old stove was small but this thing is less than half the size and weight of the one I had before. In the picture this one is the one on the left. It screws on to your basic isobutane fuel canister and lights easily from a lighter, match, or whatever else you bring along since it does not have a built in ignition system. I don't care about that too much because on the last trip I went on, everyone was having issues with those anyway. I'm happy to bring a lighter along with me. It has little pieces of metal to help spread and direct the flame to help with evenly distributing the heat which I like. The only down side that I see is that the prongs that hold your pot are pretty narrow. They are too small for my pot with a heat exchanger which means if I want to use that, I'll have to bring along some sort of grate system to keep things from spilling. Still a full five stars for me because I know I can be careful or figure something else out, but it is something to keep in mind.

It's a cute little stove and if, like me, you buy too many stoves, you'll eventually end with one this, no matter how hard you try to resist. Curiosity if nothing else.+ It's compact.+ It's light.+ It's inexpensive.+ It's easy to use, no fiddle factor.+ You can turn it down to simmer (or for better efficiency).+ I've read that quality is variable but mine seems good.- It has a small footprint so it's mostly for small diameter pots. I'd worry about stability with a squat pot or anything larger that about 700-750mL.- It's also short. I worry that if I do much more than boil a cup or two of water that I'll reflect too much heat back onto the canister. Especially if there wasn't any wind. Or if I was simmering in a larger diameter pot.- It doesn't handle wind well. A lot of stoves don't but this one especially so. Just need shield it from the wind without wrapping it up with a windscreen. (which could overheat the canister and cause it to explode)In my case, it's good for a cup of coffee/tea on my day walks. Or even a few nights of Mountain House or freezer bag cooking. Is the quality as good as my MSRs, Sotos and Snow Peaks? No but it's not meant to be. This one fills a different niche. :-)

I just received it and tried it out. I super like it for its near zero volume and weight. Easily screwed onto an 8 Oz can of "4 Season Mix Power Gas". Valve and flame control worked flawlessly. I am a multi-day back packer who must limit weight and space in my bag. I am using this ONLY to bring 16oz water to a boil.CAUTION - The pot can tip easily. The support arms are small only 2" in length so this stove requires constant attention when in use.Other than that -- Yes I would buy again.Observations using symbols for good ++ and could be improved -- and .. for FYI.++ Valve flow adjust is continuously variable (like analog not digital), ( = simple design).++ Yes it weighs less than 4 oz. Amazing.++ When closed occupies 2"x1"x1". Amazing.++ Yes it is strong for what it is; but could be bent by hand.++ Comes with small bright green nylon storage pack.++ Vertically -- It supported my pan and H20 fine (16 oz H20 and 4 oz pan).-- Does not have an igniter. A PE igniter would be a nice enhancment to the design... It requires threaded canisters and it relies on the strength of those threads to support everything above it (pot/food/etc)-- Tipsy CAUTION! I used a 4" diameter canister as the base. Avoid the smaller canisters.-- Tipsy CAUTION! The three arms are a very small foot print for supporting the pot. Only 2" per side of triangle looking down.-- Tipsy CAUTION! so you MUST balance the pot carefully and perfectly or hold it by hand continuously.-- Tipsy CAUTION! Requires constant attention and observation when in use - Lacks the wide supports that bigger stoves have.++ It boiled a cup of water in 1 minute at sea level (using new can of fuel mentioned above)... Noisier than expected but that allows me to adjust flow by ear when in bright day light and can't see flame.

This little stove is great. What's not to like? It's inexpensive, weighs nothing, takes up no space, and will easily boil two cups of water as quickly as any other stove of this type. It's even well made. Yes, the support arms and the flame control arm are thin, but they're made well. The support arms lock in place with a detent and they are sturdy and flat when open. When folded, they kind of dangle loosely but the stove comes with a perfectly nice little stuff sack that keeps everything safe in storage. The one knock on this stove is also due to its strength: the small size. You could potentially have stability issues if you're using a bigger pot or pan, and perhaps a hot spot in the middle due to the narrowness of the flame. That said, I cooked with it last weekend on uneven bare ground and didn't have too much problem. Just use common sense and handle your cookware mindfully. I boiled some veggies in my cook pot, then actually cooked a thick piece of salmon in a 6-inch fry pan. The salmon took a little while, but I didn't have a problem with a hot spot or getting the fish cooked through in cold, rainy conditions. So it absolutely can be done on this little BRS stove. Great product.
