A cheap insurance for your motor.Just replaced it because I was doing a basic tune up but I think it actually made a difference with throttle response

Although the product took longer to receive, it worked great! I did have to buy longer screws to make it work. My Johnson 9.5 horse engine started right up on the first pull!

Unbelievably poor quality, and a fire hazard on top of that. The mounting gasket is made of weak and thin fiber material with screw holes that are too small for the OEM screws. Was able to get it carefully installed, but as soon as I connected fuel, it streamed out from under the head of one assembly screw (not the mounting screw) I attempted to tighten the screw, but it was tight, yet fuel continued to stream out. I attempted to start the motor, but would not even sputter. Fuel still running out from this fuel pump, so I disconnected fuel line to avoid fuel dumping into the lake. Original fuel pump reinstalled, and motor runs perfect. This product is junk. Return processed.

42 year mechanic over 20 on boats even at dealerships. I installed and bulb wouldn't pump. Checked out and the hole on inlet wasn't punched or molded from manufacture so removed and drilled it thru and it is working but only time will tell. I always use Sierra but my vendor was out of stock. Sierra is oem type quality.

Product arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. The fuel line connections were at different angles that what the original pump were at causing my existing lines to be just long enough to reach with stretching. It did work but will need to replace the lines reduce strain. The big thing is that this item was about 1/2" thicker than the OEM fuel pump and the existing screws would not work with the normal gasket. I had to make a gasket out of some spare parts I had around the house that was very thin and even with that, I was able to get maybe 3 or 4 turns on the screws. Not verifying the product thickness was my fault and can be easily resolved with some new screws so not knocking it for that. If the fuel line connections wouldn't have been different I probably would have given this 5 stars. Once I worked through the issues motor started and ran. I am seeing a lot more lean sneeze condition that what I was with the previous fuel pump and working to fix that. Thinking that issue is unrelated since it was present, not as bad though, before the new fuel pump. Over all I'm happy with the purchase especially since I have found the same item on some other websites for around 100$.

This fits older Evinrude no problems. Just installed on my 1966 fastwin 18 hp. I had to get screws that were 1-2inch longer(mind the thread pattern at homedepot, this motor was made in America not China) and it bolted right up. Engine is running again. Now that I’ve solved my problem with a 15$ part, I’ll go get the OMC part from marineengines.com...Btw, I asked the seller if it would fit my motor, they said no, but it does, it will fit 5hp- at least 25hp motors from the 60s and 70s, with the 2 longer screws of course. It might fit more models, but that’s what I know for sure...
