I purchased a crew cab pickup with two of these installed, one on each side. That was okay for me, but not for passengers who got into the back seat, since the truck was slightly lifted. I ordered 2 additional so that I had two on each side and the problem was solved. Some time later I traded the truck for another crew cab truck. I liked these so much that I purchased 4 to go on it. A little aluminum polish will keep them shining and looking good.

They are advertised as being direct fit but are not. Have to drill in tight area in order to mount. Do not stick out on side and makes it difficult to step on. Description misleading.

Used these for all 4 doors on my 1986 Suburban. They look great and are very solid. Install was pretty straight forward. The supplied instructions were well written and helpful.

A Review for; 'CARR #124032 Super Hoop XM3-Polished-Pair' Truck steps - they are 'supposed' to fit a 2014 Ford F-150, regular cab. - 'Not'.The directions are pretty much garbage, they are very convoluted. There are like 10 different manufacturers (plus all the various model years) crammed on to a two-sided pice of paper. There were five different mfg's/models crammed together in the 'instructions' that included my vehicle, and the illustration for the same installation was very small. You'd have to see them to believe it.The Instructions gives the wrong location, of where to drill the pinch weld hole, It's NOT 3/8'' from the edge of the pinch weld (more like double that), - so I hope you didn't follow their instructions and drill a useless hole in your Truck's pinch weld. And, You are on your own in trying to figure out what the 'correct' dimension is, BTW.The 'mounting brackets' have to be Modified before it'd even fit the Rocker panel/pinch weld area properly (which the instructions do not point out). There is only 'one' place on the rocker panel where you can mount the 'rear' mounting bracket, and there is only 3/16'' sideways leeway between obstructions (so much for 'mounting them centered with the front edge of your seat'). The Rear Brackets placement, - determines where the front bracket will mounted, so I hope you didn't start drilling holes for the front bracket 1st (good instructions would have pointed these things out). When you get finished mounting these 'Super Hoop Steps', - you'll find they 'Don't Stick Out Far Enough' - from the truck's body to function effectively as a 'Step'. When you try to use them, the metal Door Sill will hit you just above the ankle when you go to get into the truck. And, You won't like that any more than I do.So, You Think you can Call up 'CARR' and get some 'Help', - Well, you can Try. I called them up on a Friday, and 'Both" of their techs were 'Out'.I called that monday and 'Both' techs, were at some type of Promotion, and wouldn't be back till Wednesday. Their supposed Head Tech (the one that made/makes their installation videos), was supposed to call me on wednesday - didn't happen. I called on Thursday, and finally got hold of him.- After I told him their pinch weld drilling dimension was totally wrong, that the brackets needed to be modified before they would fit, that the instructions are very 'Lame' at best, etc. He went pretty much like; 'Well there are a lot of different trucks out there' (ie., 'I don't know anything about your issues, I have no answers for you - nor do I care'). This tech was Mechanically Challenged (didn't even know what a 'digital vernier caliper' was), had an Elitist Attitude, - and is lucky that he is able to find his way to work everyday.I realize that these May actually fit some manufacturer's vehicles better than they fit mine ( Feeling Lucky? ).I Would ''Not Recommend'' These To Anyone. Having said that, and 'All the Above', - had I bought the 'Carr's HOOP ll Steps', - it'd been even worse (as far as where the location of the steps would have been. - Buy Something Else. But, - You should feel free to go ahead and Buy them, - because hey, everyone needs a little more Misery in their lives. And hey, you'll get the opportunity to actually have to 'pay' for it, too.

Had same product on another vehicle and liked them enough to purchase again. They also look nice and a little different compared to others on the market. Function very well. Wish the mounting (attaching pieces) and hardware were stainless steel instead of heavy sheet metal and carbon steel, that option would be well liked even for a small increase in price.

Nice looking steps and I really wanted to put them on my truck. The fit guide says they will fit a 1984 K20 but they do not. The gas tanks get in the way. Gave it a 3 star rating becasue of issues with fit guide, otherwise steps are great.

The Carr brand truck step is a great accessory for Dodge ram pickups. I installed the wide Super Hoop XM3 steps in about 2.5 hours. The polished aluminum steps are very well made and look great on my ram pickup. Climbing in the 4x4 ram pickup is easy for my family now that we have added the steps. Installed steps are about as high off the ground as the skid plate, and don,t extend out any farther than the body line. Great product from Carr!

The traction on top can be lacking when they are wet. Otherwise, they're great--simple design, easy to mount and stoutly built.
