I bought this for my 10 year old Sony VPL-HW40ES projector. I've been replacing the lamp more-or-less annually since I bought it, and this was by far the most inexpensive lamp I'd ever seen. Against my better judgement I decided to give it a try.First, it was a very tight fit. Getting it installed wasn't too bad, but getting it back out was difficult. In any case, after installing the bulb, it would not light. I could hear an electrical pulse every 30 seconds or so trying to get it to fire up, but it never did. Reinstalled my old lamp and I'm back in business until I can find a different replacement.
