We have a cat and a new puppy who sheds like nobody's business. These tools work great on both of them. I love how the straight brush gets all of the hair from the root. It doesnt seem painful because the cat will sit and allow us to do it. For both of our pets, it seems like the combs are more of a massage which is why they like getting combed more so than the comb I've been using for them. Major help with the shedding. MAJOR! May we caution you to put a towel down or something to catch the fur. There will be lots of it!

I’m at my wits end with trying to keep my rescue Persian from resembling something out of Star Wars on the daily thanks to her insistence on mentally remaining in the dumpster she was rescued from by refusing to clean herself or allow herself to be cleaned.Cute? Yeah, until you hear the what can only be described as demonic broken left in the rain child’s toy noises that come out of her when you so much as touch let alone attempt to deal with her fur. Even if you’re the vet. Even if you’re her favorite tech. Even if you are the groomer at the vet (especially if you’re the groomer at the vet). She doesn’t bite ever either. Until she notices a brush within ten feet of her that is.“Well just shave her then?” Thanks, Karen, hadn’t thought of that. It’s almost like a “brush” connected to a snake that makes noise and vibrates is MORE scary and warrants even louder demon screams and violent attacks than a normal one. (But really, even better has come to the reluctant conclusion that shaves just won’t ever be a thing- for her comfort tantamount to anything of course.)This begins the painstaking daily ritual of placating with treats, and ever so gently and distractedly going in with these two combs, and the occasional pair of curved surgical scissors to trim tough spots. This set is INVALUABLE as a set, with the longer plastic bristles perfect for gently pulling fur away from the skin/pulling apart mats, and holding it in place to gently comb/cut it away with the small and sharp one. I’m not sure how this would work for a double-coated dog, because it does seem to be the type that would de-shed an undercoat, but since she’s inside only and the main concern is keeping her skin healthy this was the recommendation of her vet. It’s truly changed our daily lives after years and years of looking for what seemed like an impossible solution- if they made one with squishy ergonomic handles I could die happy.

I've owned many cats over the years, and have used a variety of brushes and combs on them- I really like the way that these are combs are held in the hand instead of on a long handle like a human hairbrush. It's easy to keep a grip on the thick handle of these for long grooming sessions, they're easy to clean, and the best part- my restless kitty actually sits still for his brushie-time!Lil' Mr. Fuzzbutt used to be terrible about getting excited and turning in circles over and over for his brushies, and it would get annoying to try and clean a mat up on him. Since the first time I used these on him- he plants himself in my lap, stays put, and purrs heartily for his grooming time. He's even developed a specific meow for the combs, and he stares and paws the air at the shelf where I keep them. Talk about adorable!Though my cat is a short hair- his winter coat is very dense and floofy, and gets mats in it when he goes through shedding cycles. It's now almost spring, the weather's been getting warm, and his hair is shedding by the handfuls. The long tooth comb is perfect for loosening up the outer layers of hair to allow the freed ones to be combed out, and the metal comb grabs and holds the hairs, and gently removes them. His Royal Heiney now lets me comb out his tail every brushie session- something that used to be 50/50. He even lets me comb his hair against the grain, to get down into the deeper layers for a very thorough brushing (and itch scratching). This brush set was just what my sweet kitty needed to help him through the shedding season, and I'm very glad to have combs that my cat loves so much! Lap time is always a good time, especially when it makes my cat so happy.Aimondow Cat Comb, Cat Brush for Shedding and Grooming, Hair Removal Massaging Shell Comb for Cats Dogs Puppy Rabbit Bunny, Easy to Dematting Matted Fur Tangled Hair Undercoat, 2 PCS

I've tried a lot of combs on my Persian and my biggest struggle has been finding one that will groom him quickly but still get a lot of fur as he doesn't like sitting for long grooming sessions. Luckily for me this little set worked great! The one with smaller teeth is perfect for combing out surface knots and loose hair quickly and the other gets down great into his dense coat without me having to push too hard. He doesn't seem bothered by either and I'm happy with how quick they pull out a good amount of fur. Overall very satisfied with these and definitely going to be using them as a part of his grooming routine.

These cat combs are great. They are small enough to bit into even the smallest hands. The larger of the combs work well on detangling matts. My cat loves being combed and with these combs my hand doesn't become tired.
